How do you wear these type of boots? (see pic)

I know this has been posted before but I searched but cannot find the thread

So yet again, how do you wear these type of boots?

They are cute, but before I bother buying them I have to figure out a practical way to wear them (I am looking at one of the cheapie knockoffs you see everywhere, not the expensive Ugg-type ones)

I am not exactly a young chickie so I kinda think they'll look stupid on me. And I know I cannot pull off the boot with skirt look ..

So to all the stylish, fashion experts on the boards - help!

Hmmm.. me thinks I like those even better

And as I said above, overall its totally about comfort. I'm far from stylish , unfortunately.. (though it these are considered 'in' than its an added perk )

OK Ms. fashion foward , what the heck do the muckblahblahs (your spelling, I copied it) look like? Is that better for the old ladies like us?

Actually both boots are 'IN' right now..
The fur ones are more popular IMO cause they are cuter..
But UGG's are still all the rage...I know this cause i had to go to 3 different stores who were out of them!!!
They are flying out of the stores

And to answer your question...most people wear them with pants in.

ETA..and both are now worn with skirts...which seem to be VERY in now

Thanks Jenn. I also saw a girl at my beauty salon on Saturday who had them on with her jeans rolled up .. it looked so cute on her, but then again she was all of 21 yrs old and size 0.. so what WOULDN'T look cute on her

i was gonna say that unless you plan on hiking in the snow capped mountains, i'd steer clear

I live in the snow capped mountains. Does this mean I need uggs??

They're cute but I tried some on and thought I looked muy ridiculoso....but they were sooooo warm!

ETA...our 2 year old has a pair of knock-offs from the gap and they're the cutest things ever.

this is JMO, but unless you are 16, and a size 0-4, I thinks it better to stay with classic looks....

Rainmama and LFitzy79 .. both of your sentiments are exactly how I felt about them.

That (1) they looked entirely stupid on me when I tried them on, and (2) I was far too old and unskinny (lol) to pull off the look

When I saw my 3 year old niece with the toddler Gap version of the boots on yesterday with her little couduroy mini skirt and poncho, I kinda figured my time had passed for this look

They look comfy, but for me that is where it ends. I have a pair of Timberland boots that I wear for comfort and I don't feel so awkward in them.

Also, Uggs are out. I recieved this information from my ultra metrosexual husband who works for one of the largest fashion magizine publishers. He keeps me in line when it comes to fashion.

They do look comfy and I think Im gonna get the knock off pom pom ones and I think for us'older' non size one girls the ugg styles are good with pants OVER them to stay away from trying to look 'too stylish' yet still be comfortable as those lovely pre teens!

PS...my MIL bought a pair of uggs and wears them ALL THE TIME and no less in PINK! she thinks she looks cute....im with the girl that when she saw her 2 year old niece wearing them with the poncho and all we missed out turn unless we are size 0 and can bear to wear a skirt in the freezzinnggg cold out there

if you're going for the 'young' (kinda silly imo) look you wear them with a skirt or your pants rolled up/tucked in.

if you're like me, and you just got them for the absolute comfort (so warm and fuzzy inside of Uggs) then you wear them under your jeans like you'd wear any old winter boot. plus, wear them without socks. makes them much more comfy/warm.
