How do you when you have met the photographer for you? I met with quite a few and have not been floored by any. I've really liked some of the work but not 'OMG I NEED TO HAVE THIS PHOTOG AT MY WEDDING.' What floors me more than anything is the prices.

if youre not crazy about any youve met with so far then i would keep looking. I went with the photographer that did give me that feeling and once i saw her work I did say OMG YES I LOVE HER WORK AND THATS EXACTLY WHO I WANT. Once i saw her work i said i only want her and knew i didnt have to look anymore.

This may be a silly questions but have you searched these photographers and checked out their work from the brides pro pics posted on this website? I have a huge list of photographers that I looked at on here and liked or didn't like. I always thought I was going to go with Wedding Group One because a friend of mine had awesome pics. When it came time to book my own photographer Imagine Studios caught my eye. Check out the pics for BelongstoDanBuckley.

I had the same issue, until I met with George from Right Angle. He has an amazing personality & we loved his work!

Try Silverfox and sherwood triart I loved the work of both studios. Silverfox has a photographer that does very edgy work...I cannot remember his name.

To be honest the photographer I really wanted was booked already for my day. I searching and searching and then I stumbled upon my Photog when I went to go book my DJ. We were very impressed with their albums and style. Their prices were much more reasonable than the others I was lookng into. You're right about the prices though, it was surprising to me as well how much most charge. AND some had specific rules like: no must take pics or no negotiating on certain details like number of pics, thank you pics, parent albums, etc. I was really surprised at that also. We decided on our photog bc they were down to earth, knew what they were talking about and prices where reasonable. Also, they worked with us on our contract and certain things we wanted to be included. good luck!

I love Duet as well, and if you are looking for a bit more contemporary try TJ (who is one of their photogs).
You could also try Angelica Glass but she is pricey.

we're booking our photographer based on his work and his personality, we met with very similar styled photographers but in the end its the personality that wins us over, we have to be comfortable with this guy who is gonna be attached to your hip documenting the most important day of your life so far...

We chose our photographer based on three things: price point, artistry/quality of work, and personality. We didn't want our photographs to look too posed and old school, and we didn't want to really break the bank, and we also didn't want to be creeped out by the guy. Luckily we were able to find that and not have to compromise much at all, but El Cheapo still hems and haws about the price.
