How early should a photographer come for pics the day of the wedding?
My ceremony starts at 5:30 and we are taking all pics beforehand plus the getting ready pics. My photographer said he will come to my hotel at 3pm. Does that sound right? Is that enough time to take all bridal party, FH and me and family pics. The bridal party is 18 ppl plus us. My hotel is 20 minutes from the ceremony and we were thinking of going someplace in between for pics.
Thanks for the help!

not sure, now making me think. How early if Church ceremony is at 11am and I need to be at Church by 1045am.
Any morning girls have thoughts...OMG..Will I have to be up like 3-4am???
If not then no you wont have to be up that early Makeup takes 1 hour (should be less but definitely should NOT take longer) and hair about the same depending on what you are having done.
Getting dressed is a peice of cake....then its just portraits and add in travel time plus 15 minutes for the pics outside of your ceremony choice ----------------------------- OMG thank GOD! I am sooo not a morning person so to be up that early I would forewarn my Bridesmaids to HAVE COFFEE!!
I have curly hair so I am considering having it blown out day before maybe and it would make hairstyle easier to start instead of wasting time straightening hair. Makeup shouldnt be too bad right? Think FMIL, BM, MOH and FMIL are also doing makeup. Would it be best to have only me amd my mom and FMIL together and BM can go have theirs done at their places??
yea no you dont have to be up that early, if they are all getting their makeup done by the same person as you schedule one of th egirls whil you are getting your hair done...then switch, you get your makeup done-while you get dressed FMIL gets hers done, etc. etc.

After everyone's comments, i got nervous and called the photographer. he said they will have me sit in the make-up chair for touch-ups and hair and if we feel he needs to come at 2 we can finalize on our 10 day review.
I'm taking all pics, getting ready, limo, bride and groom, bridal party and family pics all before the ceremony. What do you ladies think, 2pm if ceremony starts at 5:30?
I would definitely push it back to 2pm. All you need is one hiccup to mess up your hwole day for pics. I truthfully would have him come at 130->and if he is late you are ok, if he needs time to set up (which mine needed) etc. you have leeway but NO LATER then 2

OH, I just realized you're doing all pics before! I didn't mention that I have a huge block of time after the ceremony, so I'm not having mine come too early, but if you're doing all your pics then, you will definitely need more time.
