your parents. We just made an offer on a house today and it's 30 min away from my family. I feel sad about leaving and not even being in the same neighborhood anymore. Anyone else feel this way?

we currently live with FH's parents in marine, bklyn we will be moving out b4 thw wedding. just trying to save some extra money. living in bklyn is about 45 min or more from my parents....

I will be living in Brooklyn, and my family will still be in queens, so i would say about 25-30 minutes. I'm so sad to be leaving them, but at least its not hours away...

45 min; although my parents own a home upstate and plan on moving up there once they retire...I'm hoping they decide to sell the house upstate and stay local. I want my parents to be close to me.

10 minutes w/ traffic ....but my FMIL's will live in the apartment in our basement...can we say 'everyone loves raymond'

We are currently not even 10 minutes from my parents. I love it, and my mom cooks great meals

Our current place is 5 minutes from my mom's place. It's about a half hour from FH's parents.

Right now we like about an hour and 1/2 away from both sets of parents. By this time next year (when we get stationned on a permanent base) we'll either be an entire day's distance away OR half way around the country

30 minutes away from my mom, it bothered me at first but it's a nice drive to her house a couple times a week

I feel exactly the same way.....I've lived in my hometown my entire life so I know it's going to be a big change for me. I'll be living 30 minutes from my parents.

we happened to buy a house 1 1/2 miles away from my parents But we only plan on staying there for about 5 years TOPS, after that we'll probably find something about a half hour away give or take.. Its not THAT far. My oldest bro lives about 1/2 hour away from us, we still see him all the time.

my parents moved to PA (retirement) thats about 2 hours.. . FH parents just bought a house in PA also, but they also have a house here about 20 min away... but they will be moving out there full time when they retire....
