did your girls order their BM dresses? I'm 6 months away, and they are ordering by next week. Just want to make sure I'm on track.

they bought theirs in november - (so four months in) and they came in that month - we didn't order typical bm dresses - they ordered them from jcrew

we ordered ours pretty early.. like 9 months in advance.. I was told that the designer usually discontinues stuff in November by one of their assistants on the phone so I had them order it to ensure the color was still going to be avaliable.
(The color was all ready ordered as accents on my bridal gown so it would have been horrible to have it discontinued)
I think 6months is perfectly fine for you though!

Mine bought them 7 months in advanced and we just got the flowergirl dresses with less than 4 months to go.

We ordered 8 months in advance and got them in about 3 months. You should be fine.

i asked a few places and the range i got was 3-5 months. i have yet to order my BM dresses too (as my MOH just had a baby in March so i was giving her all the time i could)...

We went shopping in October at David's Bridal just to get ideas and the girls fell in love with their dresses and wanted those. The dress was going to be discontinued so they ordered them on the spot and they came in 6 weeks later. So they ordered theirs 8 months in advance. I think you're fine. Most dresses take 3 - 4 months.

My girls just ordered their dresses on Monday 5-10-10 ....AND our wedding is AUGUST 22!! (2010) No rush fees or anything. (They're Jordan.)

we ordered in late Feb for an early Oct wedding.
they are supposed to come in June
so I think it's OK, just make sure you do it soon!

Some of my girls place their order in April and some are doing it this month but I asked them all to pleas place the order by the end of this month.
