how far in advance did you book ur florist?

i have a little over a year left until my wedding and everyone keeps telling me that it is too soon to book the florist...

what do you think?

i swear i hate more than anything when someone tells me 'OH YOU HAVE SO MUCH TIME'

OMG, I thought I was the only one! I was gonna actually type a rant about this this seems to be FH's parents favorite quote! But I bet if I listen to them, they won't be the ones running around 4 months before the wedding like a chicken without a head searching (and PAYING) for vendors

i hate that too... some women at a wedding dress store i went to told me that.. i was like ummm should i leave then? theres only 7 months til the wedding, how do i have soo much time?

like its easy to shell out hundreds of dollars right before your wedding !

we havent officially booked yet, but we've been looking at a bunch of places and i still have soooo much time. i want to get it done before the end of the summer cuz then ill be busy again.

if u want though u can def wait til sept and then see all the flowers that are in season at the time.

fh and i wanted to see how the flowers will look exactly on the month of our wedding so we searched florists in the month of may. we booked the florist on the first week of june.

My florist is a good family friend and when I met with him a year before our wedding (now we are 8 months away) he just took my info real quick and said to come back 6 months before b/c my ideas might change. Plus I would have a better idea about how many certerpieces etc I would need based on final wedding list.....I guess its up to the florist.
