A year! But it won't be here for another 6-7 months since my wedding isn't until July 08.

Thanks girls so much for the input....my family is thinking that i'm crazy for wanting to order it so soon but from the looks of it it really can take a year to even get the dress in sometimes. Definitely would rather be safe than sorry and I really know what I want so why not!!

I ordered in may and it should be in end of august beginning of September but my luck it will be in 1 week b4 my wedding lol

What you can do is leave a deposit on it (I think I paid $100) so this way they don't have to order it yet and have it sit in a back room for a year, but have to notify you if the dress is going to be discontinued. This is what I did when I found a dress that I really liked way before my wedding. And now I changed my mind and they are letting me use the $100 deposit for another dress.

I ordered mine 10 months before my wedding and it came in 4 months which was a lot quicker than I was originally told.

15 months in advance...wont be in until 2 months b4 the wedding...i guess it depends on which designer is making your dress

Less than 6 months before. Ordered it in November, it came in at the very end of March, wedding in June and it was all fine... you might change your mind a few times over the next 2 years, I would wait a bit.

I ordered mine in June for my August 08 wedding. It was a trunk show design and they won't cut it until at least October, but they said it should be in by May...

hmm, ordered mine in the end of April for my November wedding. The dress was in two weeks later. So, I'd say you've got some time to shop around....

I got mine in March 07 and I'm getting married May 08. But I'm a little OCD.

My wedding is July 11 2008, and I ordered My dress July 10 2007. They told me at least 9 months before and my bridesmaid about 6-7 months before so we are actually going at the end of this month just to be on th safe side.

I ordered mine in April for my early December 07 wedding. It is supposed to come in sometime in October.

HOnestly, I would wait. There are going to be at least 3 more seasons of dresses that you will be able to look at before your wedding.

Not to say oyu cant go and look
