How happened to Valentinesbride Bridal Refelction thread?

I was just reading it and now it's gone. Is it because she posted negative feedback? I don't understand.

Why? This is absurd. What is the purpose of this board if it's not to share our experiences and offer advice? Please don't let this thread die.

It's messed up that her thread was deleted. They need to put it back on.

that is really messed up that that got pulled again!!!!!!!!!! it is not fair to her! she posted that in good faith to other brides! they should not be alowed to pull it! if they pulled it because of the vendor looking at the board they are in the wrong! this board is for brides only not vendors!

Well, I am totally on the side of Valentinesbride here, but you have to look at it from the point of view that this site is a business. Vendors pay money to advertise on here, so it's not good business for LIW to keep something like that on here. As much as we hate to think of it that way, that's how it is. We don't pay any money to use this site, but they sure do pay to be on here. I also know from past things that Ron has posted that it's ok to post negative feedback, but you must do it in a factual way, not a slandering way. Again, not that that is what happened, but again, from a business standpoint.

She went to go try on her dress, at the Bridal reflections in Carle Place..

When she saw the dress, the first time, it had a big brownish spot on the bodice, so they said no problem, and cleaned it and it was gone.. She dealt wtih that and blew it off..

Then 4 weeks before her wedding, she went in a gain, and she put the dress ON and there was red stuff on it.. The woman helping her said She thought it was BLOOD!!!!! She was mortified... she told the owner/manager, and the owner said, let me check you for any bleeding wounds or areas.. so she did, and the poor girl was humiliated.. this is her wedding gown, and now there was blood on it, and the owner was blaming her.. so her mom called the woman after they left, and the woman said they got the stain out, and that she didn't think it was right that the two of them were just trying to get a cheaper price for the gown.. NO SHE DIDN'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is the very short version. hope I did it right.. the point is there were stains on her NEW gown, and blood on her NEW gown, and they didn't want to do ANYTHING about it.. UGGHHH!!!!

I agree to a certain extent.. I think that if business's aren't acting ethically then they shouldn't be vendors on this site.. I'm sure Ron and Liz, don't want to refer bad business's to us.. CAN YOU IMAGINE TRYING YOUR GOWN ON, and there was BLOOD ON IT???????? I can't and I think it's disgusting, now your getting down to people's health!!!!

Jznick, thank you for summarizing the story, you have it completely correct. I was told that the title of my post could be 'slander'. I am not trying to slander anyone, I am trying to rectify my situation. I posted it again, for the third time...so we'll see.

Once again, thank you everyone, for being so supportive...and for all the advice I have received.

Again, that is why I am on Valentinesbride's side. I'm just saying if you don't want the thread to get pulled again, just play 'the game' of the boards and post as factually as possible. It just makes sense to me, rather than typing it over and over.

True, and it's hard for Ron and Liz, because they don't want to delete it, but your right, if it's slander

you are 100% correct as I was disussing it with my fiance and he said it is a business that is how the $$$$$$$$$$ is made they are not going to jepordize that ...

I understand the whole thing about them being a vendor on here and all and them paying for the advertising, etc etc. But I thought her post was pretty factual. She wasn't just shamelessly bashing them because she 'felt' they were rude or because she didn't like the way they treated her which, I suppose, can be subjective. She told the facts of the story. There were stains (blood, no less) on her wedding gown and they did nothing to rectify the mistake (besides cleaning the gown). I thought it was a pretty factual post which is why I don't understand why they deleted it.

ETA: I just found it Valentinesbride's Post

Ladies, from what I know, your wording of these things, can get you sued. I think LIW may be trying to protect you.
