How is everyone handling going from table to table at the Reception?
Any walking in with a battle plan? Im trying to get as much done as CH. What is everyone doing? I assume brides and grooms still go from table to table...

lol I DONT know hopefully we can go to each table say our hello's and get it done in a good amount of time...no real plan of attack hahahaha. Just have to remember not to sit and talk forever, have to remind fh of that since he can talk alot sometimes

I have been to only one wedding and the ride and groom went to greet everyone at each table so I'm guessing that's how I'm doing it also

I think my photographer is going to take pics of us going from table to table then i guess thats when they give us the cards and we say our thank yous, still not 100% sure yet

I'm def hitting the 2nd half of CH, but we're going to go during the first course and dinner and thank everyone for coming bla bla bla! The rest I can talk to on the dance floor
We only have 17 tables so we should be good!

no idea!!! crossing my fingers and hoping for the best
im thinking we would get our dinner first...try to eat some of it...then start walking around while everyone else is seating and eating and HOPEFULLY get it all done in a short time frame.
if we dedicated 1 hour and had 20 tables...we should be at each table for only 3 minutes!
and i would assume that we would say hello and thank you to a bunch of people before the reception but i feel like we'll have to go around to all the tables anyway...just in case and so ppl don't feel left out? i dunno!

We're going to the CH and try to get some hello's done there. I understand that it's customary to see each table and considered 'rude' if you don't, but we're probably going to have about 25 or more tables!
We made a deal with the DJ that we're going to tell him which tables we MUST go to, like the close family. and he'll pay attention and then make an announcement to have us dance to a 'special song'. Hopefully, we'll make it to most tables before the real partying begins, but if we don't get to my parent's co-workers- I won't stress it.

We did it at the very begining while they were takiing dinner orders and everyone was seated we were done by the time they were done and ready to dance!

I thought we would get this done also but everyone handed us our cards while we walked around in the reception so DH says we would not have half of them if it was not for that!

Iam going to the coctail hour so hopefully i get all my hellos done there? We shall see. Me and my FH promised eachother that we will eat our dinner!! LOL

FH and I plan to greet as many people as we can at the Cocktail Hour. We plan on enjoying every minute of our reception on the dancefloor. Yes, of course, we are going to mix and mingle with everyone but as far as walking table to table, we are not planning on it.
The past few weddings Ive been to, the bride & groom skipped it. I think it is not something you HAVE to do.

we did rounds at cocktail hour and didn't go table to table at the reception. we were too busy dancing!

We are not doing the thing at the church (forget technical name) and we are not going table to table. I was thinking about after first dance getting on the mic and saying a general thank you. I don't want anything taking time from us having fun.

i wasnt sure if i wanted to attend CH or not bc although i know it will get alot of hello's out of the way. I want some alone time with Fh before the reception. I mean the first time ill see him is in church lol then we'll be with our families and BP taking pics, so i want to just have a moment with him, let it all sink in, take it all in and have some alone time since most of the wedding we dont really have that. Im sure our BP will like to go to CH so they can do that, while we get our 30 mins or so. I wasnt 100% sure until this past weekend i asked fh if he wants to attend CH or not and he said NO!!!
so maybe i should come up with a plan to say our hello's at the reception

what about saying your hello's at the CH? just asking bc i know some guests get upset if you dont personally say hello.
