ladies at the office laugh at me!
I let it sit in the SCALDING hot water in our sinks. I put the running water on to run over the part of my ring that would be the openings to the back of stones when it's laying flat. Not from the inside from the side, FULL BLAST! I sit there watching it for like five minutes. Just me in the bathroom! hehehe

I pick it up with napkin cuz its usually VERY hot and wipe dry.

Then about every other month (or every month) i go over to the store Jim bought it from in Roosevelt field and get it polished.
Dropping off the drying cleaning.. ? why not clean the ring?
Need new shoes? why not clean the ring?
Need to walk around (for my knee) why not clean the ring?
Need to present shop (holidays, etc) why not clean the ring?

Don't laugh.. but plain white crest toothpaste and water.. works fab!!!

I used 1 part ammonia to 5 parts water and cleaned with an old toothbrsh- it got
ALL of the lotion and gunk out of it!

rubbing alcohol and steaming hot water (and a tooth brush)

I do the same but also do rubbing alcohol after the ammonia. The fire is AMAZING:

I bring mine to the jewelers every 1-2 months. BUt at home I put it on a fork(so it doesn't fall Off) spray it with windex and run it under very very hot water for a few minutes. It doesn't work great, but it make the stone shiny.

fmil got me and future cousin in law and fsil the conosseurs jewelry cleaning gel and toothbrush thing. love it!

Ammonia... you ladies are crazy!!!!!!
I was told to use fantastic and warm water and a toothbrush (you could also use windex)
The guy my FH bought the diamond from said do not use anything else!!!
The diamond is from over seas

i put a capful of ammonia in a pot of water and let it boil with my ring in it (although my jeweler recommended this, she also said to make sure you have the ring in something like a tea strainer so it's not right up against the pot)

Rubbing alcohol and a baby toothbrush (a suggestion from some of the LIW ladies) - it works great!

I bought a little jar of jewelry cleaner (with a little brush) from Zales for three dollars and it works great!

Where did you get it? I've been curious about them. (if you know, of course. I realize that if it was a gift you might not.)

Either dishwashing soap or toothpaste and a toothbrush.

There was a thread about this a while back, and some girls here said that their jeweler told them Windex can leave a blue film on the stone over time. I use rubbing alcohol and it shines like crazy.
