How is Nesconest...

I grew up in Nesconset and my parents still live there. I LOVE it there! Such a great town to live in.

We lived in the Smithtown SD area. The part of Nesconset near the lake might be Sachem SD. If that matters to you I'd check it out. Sachem is just such a large district- I haven't really ever heard anything negative about it.

We'd like a good-great SD.....but it won't make or break a deal as we don't know if we're buying permanent or if we'll move in 5-10 years...by the time a child might be entering school....

I've heard good things about Sachem...I just wasn't sure if there was that area of Nesconset wa considered less desireable than the areas by Smithtown.

I like Nesconset. We almost bought a house there. It's convenient to the Northern State.

Sachem is a good school district- big. Is it Sachem or Smithtown SD that you'd be in?

We live right near there! I like the areas toward Smithtown a little better than the areas by the lake, but that's personal preference. My cousins all went through Smithtown schools and LOVED them, so I think we are going to try for Smithtown or Three Village Schools when we move before kids. Good luck!

Nesconset is adorable!
My in-laws have lived there for about 10 years and love it.

I graduated 93 (first year they combined schools )

This is what I'm finding...and the house I was inquiring about would be in the Sachem SD - which is good...but I would prefer Smithtown SD.
