Fh and I are paying for the wedding completely ourselves. I don't foresee any help from either of our families.
Let me just I am already stressing. Since I'm an early 2011 bride, my year mark is creeping up. Not only are we paying for the wedding, but we're going to have to get our own apartment soon. AND I'm going back to school next fall...

I wish I was rich every day!!!
My mom is a widow, so I don't expect her to give us much, but she did say that she'll help out where she can. My fiance's mother is also going to help out, but we don't know how much she is contributing yet. I'd say that we'll end up paying about 1/2 to 2/3 of it ourselves.

We are also paying for it ourselves which is why we decided to wait 2 years. Although i havent asked for any help i dont think either of our families will be able to. its going to be hard especially because we want to try and buy a house and not rent. lol well see how that goes....we just have to keep hoping it will all work out

FH and I are paying for most of it ourselves..I *think* we may end up having a little help from my parents but I'm not sure. It's very stressful saving up all of this money!

We're paying for it ourselves too. That's why we are waiting so long. Even with all this time, I'm still not sure we'll be 100% ready when the time comes. Which is why I have been working non-stop trying to bring in some extra $$$. Not easy.
P.S. I have been trying to win MEGA - no luck so far lol

FH and I are footing the bill for our wedding. Likely his Mother gave us the deposit for the reception hall.
Besides from paying for the wedding, we still have to save money for our condo, furniture, etc.....

thankfully we are SUPER lucky and my parents are going to pay for the RH!! THANK GOD!!! We are waiting so long cause they have to save the money...dont have it sitting around in some account or anything!!! LOL
FH and I will be paying for the rest! FMIL offered to pay for invites! That was nice... we will see what else they offer to pay for....
I feel very lucky to have what we do!!!

We're very lucky that my dad is paying for the RH. We're paying for everything else, and even though we still have more than a year and a half to go, I worry all the time about saving enough money for it.

we are paying for almost everything ourselves. My mother told me when we first got engaged that she wants to pay for my dress, shoes, accesories. I never officially had a talk with my father about whether or not he is planning on chipping in for the wedding (though he has been able to get FI A LOT of side work which is going straight to the wedding). As far as FI parents, I don't even think it was discussed but I'm pretty sure they won't be able to chip in.
We are just going to have a wedding that we can realistically afford.

We too are paying for the ENTIRE wedding ourselves. We really don't mind. We'd rather pay for it ourselves and have the wedding done our way, instead of having family drama because someone wants to have something done their way becuase they gave us money, and we don't agree. We're saving hard but we think it's doable. Figuring everything will come out to around 40,000-50,000. It'll all be worth it in the end!

My parents and my FI parents are helping pay for the reception, but we are paying for everything else (florist, limo, dj, videographer/photographer...etc) my mom is also buying my dress.

When I think of spending all this money on a 5 hour event, sometimes I think that we should just go to city hall and have a dinner at a great restaurant in the city with our close family. But than i think about not having the full wedding and I don't want to regret it.

We are so grateful that my family is giving us $25k towards the weddng & we will be covering the rest (hopefully not much more we're shooting for a $30K budget). We are also paying for the HM which is looking to be just shy of $10K.
Considering our savings is going towards a coop/condo (eventually), if we had to pay for this wedding ourselves we would've definately had a destination wedding!

FH and I are pretty much covering this whole wedding alone. But we will be getting a little help from each family. Like i know my grandma is buying everything regarding the dress so thats a big burden off my shoulders.

ITA: It actually makes me physically sick sometimes to think about spending all of this money on a 5 hour party. I know I would regret not doing it, but it just seems like sooo much money to spend. I wish weddings were less expensive.
