How is your Fh different from the guy you thought you'd marry?

When I was a kid, I thought I'd end up with a guy named Sal or Vito who was a mechanic or a cop, fireman, etc. Little did I know, it would be a Jewish guy who does computer programming. hehe

You're so funny because as a jewish girl - you think you'll end up with the jewish 'white collar' guy. MY DH isn't jewish and is a paramedic, firefighter, and lifeguard.

Hehe - that's funny! When I was little I thought I'd wind up with a slick Wall Street Businessman... I wound up getting the MBA myself though & marrying my high school sweetheart (a police officer)!

Well looks wise hes pretty much what I was always attracted to. Italian black hair and green eyes.
Career wise totally not what I had pictures but hes good at what he does and makes a decent living and the hours are great so what more can I ask for?

I thought I would marry a blond hair blue eyed guy, and I kind of got that. I never pictured what he would do, but I always thought I would be rich. I got a lot of time till that happens, if it ever does. Maybe I will win the lottery.

same here, i thought i'd get my vito....but I got my GREAT jewish man instead.
After attending a highschool with TOO MANY vinnys, vitos, and sals...I swore off all of them!

I have to say, I am marrying the guy I always thought I would ---- tall, off the boat Italian, with a heart of gold. Well, all except for one thing, he is totally into computers, not sports. All the men in my family are sports nuts, so it took some getting used to being with a man who doesn't even watch it!

When I was in young I always had crushes on tall dark haired boys,mainly italian boys. The complete opposite of my father..Blond hair, blue eyed Irish boy.

I thought I would be with a wall street type guy and that I would be a full time career woman with a big house and a nanny. Instead my DH is a data analyst who goes to work in jeans and a t-shirt and I work for a newspaper. My ideal job would be a stay at home mom, hopefully we'll be able to work something out when the time comes.

He is actually exactly what i always pictured - tall, dark, handsome and incredibly sensitive and loving. I actually had an 'image' of him in my head my whole life, and when i fell in love with him, it hit me one day that he was 'the guy' in my head, and I KNEW I was going to marry him.
