How is your guest list looking.....

My min. is 150 and having it lowered from 175 and now it's looking like we will have over 200 people!!!

This will mean that everything will go up!!!
(i.e. flowers, favors..... )

I am happy though... FOR NOW!!
It wil be nice to see family that I always go to Barbados to visit here in the states.

our min is 160 .. we are inviting between 200 and 250 so we'll see what happens!

I guaranteed 175. My list as of right now is 272. A good number is from out of stae. I don't think we'll end up with too many. I'd rather pay for more people then get stuck paying for 'empty seats'.

We have about 130 and that is the most I want....since we are paying for most ourselves I want to keep the list relatively low

We guaranteed 185 and right now we have 220 on our list, so I think we should be fine.

Ridiculous.

We so far have over 500 on the invite list(but a lot of these are from New Mexico that won't come. My father is a judge so we have the 'must invites' for social reasons.
However...I'm expecting 200-no more than 250 or I'll go crazy!

Trust me...its a pain...it was the same crap with my graduation party.

The thing of it is...my parents live in Roswell, NM, population 45k. Everybody knows Everybody...and since Dad is the town judge....people get very offended when they are not invited to theses things. Its close to the border of Texas so people there are very old school cowboy and weddings are a big deal. So.....I would say 90% of them will not come..its just an obligatory invite we have to send(not to mention dad is up for reelection this year ) And the 10% that may come..are all people that I would want there anyways...

And while I'm on this subject....how about some advice....

Because of the invites I have to buy.....I don't want to have to sacrifice a not so nice invite for a pretty one because I have to order too many and don't want to waste $$.

Now..I am not one who thinks you should spend a buttload of invites because they do end up in the trash..but I still would like something nice.

Do you think it would be okay to order like 200-300 invites that are nicer and my pick...to people I know may come or mean more to me..

And just get the plain ones with black writing...nothing fancy schmancy , just plain Jane...for the obligatory ones??

Is that not right.....?
I just don't want to spend a whole bunch of money on it.......

We signed our contract for a 200 adult minimum so we're hoping to meet that and then we could make the 13 kids we're having a half price plate. Our hall even has a deal for little babies and toddlers - once again if we meet our 200 adult minimum we could give the toddlers and lil babies just cocktail hour and pasta for $15!!! not bad right? So basically the important thing for us right now is to hit 200 adults otherwise all those kids we're having will be full price

We guaranteed 160 people and we have about 215 people on our guest list.

We have to guarantee 200. We cannot afford more than 220 and our list is 292 but many are from our of the country and out of state so lets pray for no more than 220 and that's including vendors.

We guranteed 135, and our max was 150. We're doing this on our own, so we have to keep it fairlysimple. Were there people who we would have liked to invite? Sure, but money wise it didn't work for us.
