My min. is 150 and having it lowered from 175 and now it's looking like we will have over 200 people!!!
This will mean that everything will go up!!! (i.e. flowers, favors..... )
I am happy though... FOR NOW!! It wil be nice to see family that I always go to Barbados to visit here in the states.

Because of the invites I have to buy.....I don't want to have to sacrifice a not so nice invite for a pretty one because I have to order too many and don't want to waste $$.
Now..I am not one who thinks you should spend a buttload of invites because they do end up in the trash..but I still would like something nice.
Do you think it would be okay to order like 200-300 invites that are nicer and my pick...to people I know may come or mean more to me..
And just get the plain ones with black writing...nothing fancy schmancy , just plain Jane...for the obligatory ones??

I don't thikl thats a bad idea..i'm doing a similiar thing..I get 25 invites with a prize i won, so i am using those for OOT and family i am not really close with and I am getting fancier ones for everyone else I am sure people won't care what it looks like just that they are recieving one

We guaranteed 275. Our list is about 400 and we're hoping it's no more then 325 that come. We're paying for our wedding ourselves so it's major saving!!

We only guaranteed 130, but our list is about 225 now. We've only budgeted for 160 so I really hope that most of the OOTers don't come.

I guarenteed 100 and invitng about 160...i want a decent size yet not overwhelming plus we are paying for it on our own.

Same with us but FH's family is mostly out of the country and won't come so we have a relatively small amount of people to invite!!

we guaranteed 210... I was going to guarantee 175, but my dad (who is paying) said we'd be better off with the 210 guarantee, that we'd definitely make that... which means we have to invite at least 250 or so. to which I say, 'Oy, that's a lot of people!'
I was originally thinking something a bit smaller, but I don't mind... this way my parents can invite all the people they want there as well, which will make it more special for them, and as long as my parents are willing and able to pay for that, I say the more the merrier!

1st I'd like to say Holy Crap!!! Now that that's out of the way. I think that's totally fine. Order which ever invites you want and send them to whoever you want. Who's gonna know?

we guaranteed 100...and the guest list so far is about 120 (but will grow in the next year as FH gets to know more cops)

wow everyone as so many people to invite!
I think im the only one wiht the opposite problem my guarantee is 125 and i only have like 95-100 on the list at the moment im praying FH find some friends or something to make up for the lack of family invites on his side lol my moms side alone is at least 60 people and his whole extended family is only 15 tops!........so if i cant make my minium i told him id rather bring in people off the street than pay for empty seats( im kidding but i will fill thoes seats if it kills me!)

We have a guarantee of 160. We would like to stay under 200. Our guest list is at about 230 right now and that was with many cuts to it. If it was up to our parents there would be a zillion people at this wedding.

My min. is 200 people. I dont want to much more then that but I dont want less since I have to pay for them anyway. But I have about 240 on my invite list . I think honeymoons should come before the wedding. I need a vacation!!

I was able to get a min of 130 and my invite list is over 200, but most people live out of town, so I am hoping to be at around 150. I dont care about more people added at this point. I did at one point when I was trying to squeeze into a smaller place, but now that i have the room for people what ever happens happens :)

I have a minimum of 250 - but I know that my parents will DEF be able to exceed that!!
My e-party is 125 ppl - and i think thats too much just for an e-party - but it is only family!!!
My sisters wedding was 450ppl and my brothers wedding was 320ppl sooo u think i'll be lucky enough to have 250ppl?!?!
