Did you make your RSVP date. If I have a September 23rd RSVP for a November 4th wedding, is it too late to send them out September 1st?

We sent our invites out around July 4th and had an RSVP date of August 25th (1 month before the wedding). I would send the invites out a little earlier or have a later RSVP date in order to give your guests more time to respond. If you only give them 3 weeks to respond, you'll probably be missing a lot of response cards on September 23rd. Plus, with such a short response time, people may think they were on the 'B' list.
I sent out my invites Aug 6 and had an RSVP of Sept 12th

My wedding is 12/3 right after Thanksgiving weekend. My RSVP date is 11/02. I am sending them the middle of Sept. They have all October to think about it.

My vendor told me to mail them Aug 1 and RSVP date is 9.12.05. 6 weeks.
