How long are you waiting to have kids?

Just wondering.....I feel like baby fever is all around me...and everyone is looking in my direction next......

AND I'M 150% NOT READY!

FH and I say 'eventually,' but we are both busy living our own lives and want to spend a few years as a married couple taking trips, buying and fixing up our next home, taking trips with our other couple friends, and just living for us. And I like to have drinks on the weekends. Plus, I still need to find a 'career,' because right now I only have a 'job.'

I kind of feel like people (our families) think this is kinda weird, especially since I'm 28 and I'm the one so against kids right now. I want to wait until I'm at least 33.

When anyone brings up the topic of kids (and gasp--my kids) I start to feel really freaked out. I'm so not ready.

Does anyone else feel this way....or do I have no maternal instict??

I would love to have one full year of married life before kids. We are shooting for that....but who knows if it will actually last that long. We really want kids yesterday

If FH has his way we would have already had one LOL. We talked about it and agreed that we want to settle into a house before trying for baby #1.

This! If I ever get a job this will happen!

I'm ready to pop one out right now! But we will most likely start trying a few months after the wedding, and hopefully be blessed with a little bundle of joy. I can't wait to have kids!!!

we'll probably wait about 3-5 years after the wedding. i'm just starting my career now and we'd really like to have a house before kids. and plus, we're only 25, so that's plenty of time for baby making!

If I could walk down the aisle with a lil 8wk bundle of joy growing inside me I would be so ecstatic. Of course the only downside would be no alcohol for me at the wedding. But we wanna start immediately. Everytime I see a baby I want one. And he cant wait.

I want to wait about 3 years before I have kids. I want to travel and have fun with FH before we have babies.

lately i have had baby on the mind but probably because my friends and family have started a countdown to when we have kids. ugh

FH and I want to wait till after a yr we are married so 2013 we think we might start trying.

I play ice hockey so those are the terms I understand, FH on the other hand says we are disconnecting the breaks! haha

i feel the exact same way!!!! TOTALLY not ready for kids right now!!!! right now the plan is 2015 or 2016 when FH is done with his residency....
we want to have fun and be young, go out whenever we want...things will change forever once enter the picture...and we're not ready for that change yet

I am 28 and FH is 31.

We are moving and starting new jobs right after the wedding.

We want to enjoy each other, life, travel, get situated prior to baby making. We will get a doggy.

We probably won't try till I am like 31/32.

i think we're looking at 1-3 years after the wedding. I'm so not close to being ready! i always run away from babies b/c everybody thinks i want to hold them but i never do!!

Well I would like them sooner than FH. I'd like to be preggers before I'm 31. We both turn 28 in July, and our wedding is in October, so I think that is reasonable. He'd rather wait a few more years, I think, until he is more settled in his career (I am pretty settled already).

Probably a couple of years so we can have time just the two of us. If my FMIL had her way, FH and I would be making a honeymoon baby! So not happening!!!
