How long before your wedding did you purchase your favors?
Just curious. I'm pretty sure I have time, and I wanted to finalize my BP gifts before buying the favors. My little timeline thingy is telling me to purchase them now, but I wanted to hold off for another month or so.
Thanks!

I ordered mine back in Dec. for my April wedding. That's only because they were personalized and I wanted to get as much done as possible way in advance. I'd say 1-3 months before is fine.

Ordered mine 2 weeks ago... so 7 months in advance. Damn that was early...

I ordered them over a year in advance, but I can always go and get more if I need more - I couldn't beat the price, so I got while I could!

We gave away personalized candy with our names on it. We ordered the candy about 3-4 months before. Then we ordered the jars and personalzed labels aboout 1-2 months before so we knew approximately how may people were attending.

Mine have been ordered for awhile but I know that's super early. My mother is just extremely organized when it comes to stuff like this and she didn't think it'd be a good idea to wait until right before the wedding.

Spin-off questions....
If you are having edible favors, did that influence how long before you ordered them? Is anyone afraid that the chocolate (or whatever) will go bad? or melt? or anything??

Thanks everyone. I too, wanted to wait to see how the invites come back, I don't think we'll be doing anything too personalized that would need extra time.
Thanks again!

I ordered mine last week. I don't have RSVPs back but I did a round figure on what I think I will need per couple. Anything left over will be our keepskes

I have to wait until I get my RSVP's back to see how many to order. Probably 4 weeks prior

Got mine over the last week or so, so you figure 3 months in advance.
Worst case scenario, you have leftovers to sell on Ebay or more to order!!

Mine are sitting in my freezer right now. (Lindt chocolates) About a week before the wedding, I will move them to the fridge.
