it took me a half hour in my own town, my step dad workes in dix hills live in manorville and left at 4 ... he is still on the road, my girlfriend works in port washington live here in shirley and am worried still have not heard from her and she is not answering her cell, i hate the snow!

I'm worried about FH - he's coming from Elmont to Kings Park - about 45 minutes on a sunny day.
He left there at 3:40 - and as of 5:40, he was only at exit 35 on the LIE (needs to go to 53).
The last time I talked to him, his cell battery died, just as he was saying that he took cold medicine before he left work and it was making him really spacey/drowsy...AND he had to pee really badly.![]()
I haven't heard from him since, and I know it's 'cause his battery is dead, but I'm worried.![]()
He left there 3 hrs and 10 minutes ago!!! ![]()

I had it lucky I guess- an hour from Amityville to Dix Hills. Usually takes me 20-25 min.

Thankfully for me my first child I see in the morning was sick so I got to do all my afternoon kids this morning and get out of Brooklyn at 1. At 1 o'clock it took me and hour and a half to get home, which wasn't too bad, but I could not see ten feet in front of me and I was a nervous wreck driving!! Hope everyone gets home safely!!![]()

ets: step dad just got home and my girlfriend answered her phone she was at heckshure(spelling) park exit on sunrise hwy and left port washington at 3: 30! and hubby has to be out in this i hate the snow!!!!!!!

1 1/2 hours to get from East Meadow to Long Beach- my drive was bad but I think driving a truck helped with the 4 wheel drive

Well I actually caught a ride home by car from NYC to Westchester , and it took us 2 1/2 hours ..
During regular rush hour, that drive usually takes just under an hour .. so tonight wasn't as bad as I thought, considering what everyone is going through!
DH must still be in traffic- I haven't heard from him yet and he left at 6pm (he was debating staying on LI or coming home , but last we spoke he was going to drive home![]()
