How long did you wait to ask your BM's?

How long after your engagement did you ask your bridal party? I feel like my friends are waiting for me to ask them but I have something special planned so I don't want to just blurt it out to them. I also don't want to keep them waiting and wondering, you know? We have been engaged for two months and are getting married in 15 months. Thanks!

i believe it's proper to give a year notice if possible.....

i believe theknot says that and a few other top bridal magazines

bridal party members just need to know in advanced of days they would need off, going out shopping, money they would need, things they need to plan for the wedding, etc.
