how long do I give the slackers?

so the rsvp date is the 9th of october. we are waiting on like 60 people. when do i start calling people?

You can call the next day if you want. I'm going to give our slackers an extra week. I can't believe how many people don't respond.

I would wait a week or so (if you've got time). We got most of our rsvps after the due date! But definitely call - a few people didn't get the invite!

My response date was Sept 30th. I was still missing about 70 at that time. The next couple days afer that I got probably half of what I was missing. But starting October 1st, we starting contacting people. We have to have our final number in 2 weeks and we are still trying to get about 15 people.

If you can, wait a week - We got a ton the week after the replies were due back (almost half!).

We waited one week - to allow for the inconsiderates - just in case they mailed it ON the due date. I had my mom call any from her list, FMIL call from hers etc.

We did find out that 1 person never got their invitation - and was embarrassed to ask my mom - so it got straightened out.
The worst was that 2 of my cousins didn't respond and they both were married last year - they should have known better

MY cousin was married exactly a year before my date and she STILL has not sent back! It's holding up the table arrangements....

My date was Oct. 2 and I am still getting responses. If I don't receive all by the end of the week, I am going to have my mother and fmil call. I hate slackers.

jenny...don't do table seating until the last possible moment...most likely you will have changes...

I factored in a week...it seems like you did too...some people forget about it UNTIL the RSVP date and then mail it then...I know it drives the bride crazy...but its just the way it is...

next...have other people call for you...so you don't have to..ie moms and FH

wow why do people not respond right away? as soon as i get an invite i mail it out, and i was always this way, not just now because i am getting married.do people just expect you to assume they may be coming?

Do you know I just got an invite returned to me today!?!?! My rsvp date was September 30th and I mailed them in late August. The thing is the person rsvp'ed via email??! I am confused.
