I'm jealous....I want a nursing twin that can 'help me out' when it gets too difficult!

Claud, 'way back when' in Italy, when one mom couldnt nurse for whatever reason, and another new mom had plenty of milk or was a pro at BF, theyd BF eachothers kids as a favor/courtesy/helping eachother out.
theyd call it 'la mamma di latte'
isnt that cool??
im sure theres a name for it in different countries all over.

There are actually a number of milk banks in the country that help women who have special needs babies that require breast milk to thrive. So women can donate breast milk, similar to donating blood.
Babies born with CP actually do much better when feed with breast milk. But not all of those moms are able to bf, or bf for as long as it is needed.
