I am trying to figure out what time the dinner should start. I know it depends on whether everyone is on time, but I can leave some extra time for lateness if I have a better idea of the length of the rehearsal. We are not doing a full mass, so I am thinking the rehearsal should take 45 min? TIA

The last one I was in took about 20 minutes. We have ours at 7 and I told the rest. we'd be there around 730

Our priest told us to plan for an hour...a half hour for everyone to show up, and a half hour for the actual rehearsal.
We are having a mass...I'm not sure if this makes a difference.

if everyone arrives on time, pays attention and listens to instructions then it should take about 30 minutes. i wasnt this lucky, mine took an hour!

Thanks ladies. The rehearsal starts at 7pm, so I think I'm going to have the dinner at 8pm. The restaurant is close by and I'm going to tell everyone the rehearsal starts at 6:45pm.

I originally wanted to do an afternoon rehearsal and then dinner but now its going to be rehearsal at 6:30 or 7pm. Do you think a dinner for 20+ people will be too late after 8pm. Quite a few of them have to head back to NJ afterward including my FH and his family. I was thinking of perhaps going to Jillians (aka Dave and Busters) so everyone could chill out and relax but I don't know if it should be before the rehearsal or afterward.
Help!!!!

ours started at 6:15 and our dinner was at 7. the restaurant was less then a minute from the church. the actual rehearsal took about 20 minutes

Our rehearsal is at 7pm and we are going to make the dinner reservation for 7:30pm. I would rather be a little late to the dinner and have them waiting for us then having 30 people waiting for a table.

church rehearsal begins at 5:30pm. they said it would take 45-60 min for rearsal. Dinner is scheduled for 7:30pm b/c the rest. couldnt do it earlier.

we only had a ceremony too....our rehersal was at 5:15 and we were done by 5:50...plenty of time to get to the restaurant...which was just down the road.

when we met with our priest the other day he said that it should take about 30 minutes if everyone is on time and focused.

Ours took a long time...we had problems with the church BUT the priest did a very excellent and detailed rehearsal...about 45 min..we practiced a few times
