How many months prior did your BMs purchase their dresses?
I'm thinking of buying them in January for my May 26, 2007 wedding. Do you think that is ok?

Every place and designer is different, so we started looking about 8 months prior. They said they needed 4-6 months, so I am glad we went when we did.

We ordered in October, and they came in February. The girls started fittings in April. ' You might be cutting it close in January, I think it usually takes about 4 months.

we ordered them 8 mos b4 my wedding...we got them pretty fast but all designers are diff! Id ya know what 1 you want id go and give yourself sometime for them to be ordred and shipped you never know w. these companys!

We ordered ours in May and were told they would be in mid-August. They came in 6 weeks, in early July.
My friend was getting married in early June 05, we ordered our dresses at the end of December and they came in March around St Patricks Day.

it depends on the maker - they usually suggest about 4 - 6 months Januray - May is 5 months so you may want to start looking now just to be safe

Every place is different ~ my place for BM is 4-6 months + add 2 months for any issues etc. so I am making January is the cutoff for them to order there dresses (since I have 3 OOT BM so I have to have extra time to mail them and issues) I would rather have extra time than not enough.

every manufacuter is different .. mine (alfred angelo) takes 12 weeks for BM dresses .. we are ordering 1st week of March for a October 14 wedding

My bridal shop said 4 months and right now I am cutting it a little close as the dresses might come in March!!

To be honest you would be cutting it close. You kinda need time in there for alterations and god forbid the manufacterer has a problem. I would be ordering the latest by the end of this month.

Took some of my girls dresses less than a month to come in, others 3 months. Depends on the style and size!
