How Long is Your Gap Between the Ceremony & Reception??
I need to get an idea of everyone's space in between, b/c I feel like my gap is way too big... I'm getting married in the Fall, and would like to take pictures in the daylight before the sun goes down, BUT I don't want to see FH before the ceremony...
..AND... B/c we are getting married on a Thursady, I didn't want to make the reception too early b/c I know people get stuck in traffic, and still are getting out of work...
Can you ladies please tell me your times, so I'm not going to crazy here...Thanks!!!

well my ceremony is at 3.00 pm and reception is at 7.30(coctail hour) bu i guess i don't have to be there on time....

My ceremony is at 3:00 and my CH starts at 6:00. This way my ceremony should be done and I shoudl be out of the church by 4:00 which gives us about 2 hours for pics and then I can go into my CH to greet some guests so I don't waste my entire evening doing that.

My ceremony is at 3:00 and my CH starts at 6:00. This way my ceremony should be done and I shoudl be out of the church by 4:00 which gives us about 2 hours for pics and then I can go into my CH to greet some guests so I don't waste my entire evening doing that.

Ok.. Good!!! I feel better... My ceremony is also at 3 and I planned on having the reception (Cocktail hour) start at 7.... I just wasn't sure if that break was too long... Thanks Girls!!! Just one more thing to make myself nuts over...

My mass is at 3:30 and my CH starts at 6:30. Everyone from out of town can go back to the hotel and wait for the shuttle, locals can entertain themselves, my BP and I can get our pictures done, head to the reception site when we want, hang out in the bridal suite then head down to CH.

Mass is at 3p, CH starts at 7p. We're going straight to the receptions hall for pics after the ceremony.

Our ceremony (full mass) is at 2pm and our reception starts at 6pm so we have the same gap as you do.

My ceremony is at 2pm and CH starts at 5. I wanted a larger gap (to take pics) but I had to take that CH start tiem in order to get the room I wanted.
I think your gap is fine.

About 1 1/2 to 2 hours, but the reception is about 45 minutes from the Church.

My church is at 4:00pm (full mass)
my reception starts at 6:30pm...
do you think we have enough time to take pictures??

The church is at 3pm and the cocktail hour starts at 7pm. I am having a full mass so that will take up some of the time. At least I'll be able to enjoy the cocktail hour cause I have enough time to take all my pictures in the 'in between' time.
