To be different my fiance and I are thinking about having a 7 hour wedding! We don't want it to end.
Is that too much time?

Cocktail hour, 4 hour reception, Vianese hour, after hours party.

Our ceremony is at 4-515ish (with receiving line) CH starts at 7 and Reception from 8-12...I think we are going to add an extra hour for our young friends to party...nothing but music and drinks for that extra hour so my relatives can go home if they would like.

Hey Melissa- mine is very similar to yours! mine is just off by 30 minutes!!!

As of now its 7:30-1:30 my dad wants it longer, its also the whole european thing, to them its weird to end it at that time for them its sooo early...Honestly my family is used to weddings ending at 5-6am

Its not too long! If people are still in party mode after the reception, then they will be appreciative to know there is an after hours party! :)

My wedding is 5 hours. But it ends at 1am so I am not planning an after party.

My ceremony's at 3:30 at the RH, so no breaks and straight on through till the afterparty ends at 1 or 2... so yeah, a long day for us!

Mine is the standard cocktail hour and 4 hour reception. I recently contacted the hall and tried to extend the reception and hour but they have something coming after me. so we're just going to find some place to go after and continue the party!
