HOW LONG IS YOUR WEDDING..

My FH and I just wanted to make sure everyone is having fun..

so our wedding is going to be
Ceremony 6-7
Cocktail hr: 7-8:30 we are extending it an extra 30min so we can join the cocktail hr
Dinner: 8:30-12
But we're adding addtional hr after that so it'll be 6-1am.


I can't wait!

if you want to do it then extend the party!

so far it looks like mine will be extended to the latest

7:30 - 8:30 CH
8:30 - 12:30 Reception
12:30- 1:30 VH
1:30- 2:30 After hours

I never want it to end either honestly, i didnt want the after hours but FH really wants to have a time where all the old people leave and we can actually hang out with our friends. . . I am nervous about people staying too but we shall see!

My cousin's wedding ended at 2:30 and the only people that left were the super old people and the pregnant ladies, lol

we were actually disappointed that more of the old people didnt leave!!!

Anyway, if we go over budget the after hours is the first thing we are cutting. . . i am still on the fence about it BUT i think it will be awesome if we can pull it off!

Most of my friends and family are from out of town so i bet they'll like to stay longer! Plus i'm providing a bus for everyone that's staying at the hotel so no one will have to drink and drive

That was the most important thing on our to do list!

ceremony 6:30-7
CH 7-8
reception 8-12

church 4pm - mass
7pm - 12:30 reception ( we are having vienesse hour)

After party

i think of myself as a guest and usually im tired after a few hours

hmm i have to disagree with you on this one

i am usually a granny and when i go out I want to be home and in bed by like 12am

but when i go to parties like weddings and more recently, engagement parties - i can never believe how quickly they go by! seriously. i feel like i eat a bite of food and dance for a bit and then BOOM! its over

So I think I would appreciate an extended wedding especially if it was for one of my many friends getting married in 07/08

maybe if it was a wedding for like one of my mom's friends kids or something like that i wouldnt want to stay as long. . . LOL

Our church is at 4:00

CH is 7:30-8:30
Reception is 8:30-1:00
