Interested in knowing how long or short people were able to put their wedding together. For me.. come this October, we would have been engaged for about 20 1/2 months. Would you have preferred a longer or shorter engagement? Or was it just right?

It will be about 9 months by the time the wedding comes around. We had to get married in the summer bc FH is in law school. And FH and I didn't want to wait til summer 2005.

It will be exactly 2 years to the weekend that we got engaged that we are getting married. Just worked out that way.
And we will be together 7 years to the weekend also when we get married.

2 years 7 months. I LOVE the long engagement because we are just enjoying being engaged and taking our time planning. We have a year and a half left to go, and as much as I want it to be here like RIGHT NOW! I'm so glad for the extra time to plan!

We were engaged from
7/7/02 through 9/26/03....so roughly 14 months....I could have used an extra couple of months to plan!!

11 months exactly! Its too long for us in the sense of planning the wedding. But because we are looking for a house its better this way! If we werent looking for a house, we would have done it in 6 months!
We will be together for 5 years while we are on our honeymoon!

A little over 7 months. We needed to get married in the summer, as I am a teacher and we didn't want to wait another year.

by the time we get married this July, we'll have only been engaged 7 months! While I could have used a little more time to plan, ultimately I'm thrilled not to wait any longer!!

Engaged from 9/28/02 --> 9/24/04...so a few days short of 2 years. It worked out great for us since I graduated college only 2 months after our engagement, I was able to find a job and save a ton of money during those 2 years!
ETS - I didn't do any planning the first year though...so only 1 year of planning!

Just long enough to do Pre Cana for the Roman Catholic Church. lol Got Engaged 02-14-02 Orginal Wedding date 07-05-02 Actual Wedding date 09-27-02
Dh is active duty so we made due with the time we had the whole wedding planned for a 5 month enagagment and that at 4 months we had to postpone it and at 6 months we rescheduled it and a month later were married!
It was awesome being short, we had no time to sweat any details. We had a budget and we let out vendors know and due to the wedding only being a few months away we got many GREAT deals from our vendors! Also, with it being short there was very little time for family to stress us out or try to add opinions. Luckily we had the funds and we ran with it, we just wanted to be married! We still had all the little details and many guests from out of town, we lost some due to rescheduling but we had no control over that! I tell everyone if they have the funds to have a short engagement you have less stress and no what ifs, because you go to sleep one night and when you wake up (or so it seems) your getting married!

We are EXACTLY 2 yrs from egagement day... and EXACTLY 7 yrs since our first date if your taking score...
2 yrs is good..we planned 3 at first but thought hard about it and way to long.
