How long is/was your engagement?

Interested in knowing how long or short people were able to put their wedding together. For me.. come this October, we would have been engaged for about 20 1/2 months. Would you have preferred a longer or shorter engagement? Or was it just right?

A year and half. I think it was perfect for us because we haven't had to rush to do anything and are early enough to pretty much have a pick of any vendor we want. The first 6months have already flow by!

Ours was 1 1/2 years as we wanted time to plan our wedding and to enjoy this new chapter in our lives. We thought 2 years was too long and 1 year was too short, so it was in the middle to 1 1/2 years. I didn't want it too long as my clock was ticking. I was 28 when I got married and 26 when engaged. It was just right amount of time.

20 months or 1 year and 8 mos. I can't believe it's been as long as it has -- time has flown!! Next month will be a year that we are engaged. We originally set our date for 4/30/2005 but then moved it up to Oct 2004 in Oct 2003 and since then it feels like we are having a 9 month engagement!!!

Our engagement will be 10 months. I don't feel rushed at all. I feel like I am right on top of things.

By the time we get married FH and I will have been engaged for 2 years (well 23 months to be accurate ) Not to mention that by the time we get married we'llhave just passed the 9 year dating anniversary! But I like it this way. We've been living together for two years now and we're in no rush. Plus, he's an audit accountant and I lose him between January and May so we needed more time to do this together.

15 months and 3 days !!!!

I thought I would feel rushed with the planning and all but now it feels like the perfect amount of time !!!

5 days short of 10 months. We started planning about 20r 3 weeks into it.

I wish it was shorter, but with the time the church needs ( 6 months) and time for the dress to come in, I couldn't have had it much earlier. And then I would have to do wedding stuff constantly, which would be fine if it weren't for this damn job.

So, all in all, 10 months is good for us I think, but I've only been engaged for a little over 2 months so far.

18 mon. At first, it seemed like a lifetime and everyone said it would go so fast. Now here we are... in just a few weeks, it will be one year till we get married!! Time truly flies.

We will be blanning for 27 months but engagged for 20 months. the best thing...we never fight about money

lets see we got engaged on October 27th ( our year and a half anniversary) and are getting married on May 29, 2005 so that is...

We were engaged for 6 months... It was just right! We knew what we wanted and when we wanted it... The rest was just finding vendors with our date available... It was perfect!

22 1/2 months.. just right, plenty of time to plan and not cram it
