Hi ladies. I'm new here and I wanted to know how long should I wait before booking a RH? I feel like 2011 is sooo far way, but I hear they already started booking for that year. What does everyone think?

start now if you can you have time but just start to get a fill of things and read these threads a lot the girls are great

I haven't really been to any RH but I kinda want to start the payments so money is not an issue in the end.

well then start booking now its cheaper if u start now dont book with the first vendors u meet with though do a lot of research iam a 2010 bride and i didnt book anything yet bc i want to be sure of everything i dont wanna loose any down payments to change any vendors once i book i book

Hello and congrats! I would say start looking around whenever you have the time. Give yourself plenty of options, and you wouldn't feel rushed or pressured into booking something.

You should start looking into everything now so you can get the prices for this year or 2009 prices. Also you can start doing your research now to give yourself time into seeing what exactly you want to do.

I would start looking now. You can get 2008 prices and your choice of dates.

I would definitely start now - take advantage of the prices - I'm sure they will only go up. Besides, alot of the dates get booked up very quickly - might as well have your pick first. Best of Luck!

I totally agree with you because you can save money by booking early because you will get this years prices which will be much cheaper .

Oh snap. I see a few 2011 brides...YAY! anyway, I agree with all the girls, and it does give you more time to come up with the money for the payments.

Im getting married July/2009 and I booked my RH in July/2007.....so 2 years in advance

I dont plan on getting married until early 2011 but I am so starting to look after the new year because Long Island is crazy when it comes down to wedding related stuff.

i would start looking now- its not too early at all. believe it or not, when i went RH shopping back in April 2008, one RH told me they had 25% of their 2011 dates booked!!

Sorry for crashing..... But I thought I would let you girls know that you get MUCH better rates the closer you book to your date.
There's been lots of quote comparisons on BHB and brides that booked within a year of their date pay less than those who book a year and a half or more. RH's are going to tell you that 'you want to lock in rates', 'we're all booked up'...because they are sales people. Bear that in mind.
Definitely start looking but take your time. If there's a place you MUST have then go for it, otherwise, start saving...you'll get better deals later.

i would start looking in january-feb 2009......and get those prices locked in the RH , so they wont go up by 2010

You have plenty of time- yes. But there are only 52 weekends in a year. Remember that there are MANY brides who are interested in the same place as you. Book as soon as possible.

It's never too soon, IMO, to look at RH. You will get good prices and choose whatever date you want. I say go for it!!
