How long were you guys together before you got engaged???

we met june 6, 2004, only about 4 months ago.. we already went away for 9 days together to vegas, he bought the engagement ring.. and hes moving in to my apt, i know im only 22 but i think im making the right decsion... and both of our families loveeeee each of us and they dont have any problem with our decisions so far.... we are waiting 2more years to get married.... i couldnt wait much longer then that i love him so much

how bout u girls?

We dated on and off for 8 years and had been living together for 2 years when we got engaged. Now we're on year 9 and getting married in 9 days!

We got engaged on our 2 year anniversary, March 2003.

We knew each other about a year and a half before we started dating. Then we dated for 3 1/2 years before we got engaged, and were engaged for exactly a year when we got married.

It's good that you're planning a long engagement. Just take the experience and Learn From It.

We met in 1992 at SUNY Farmingdale and were just friends till he graduated in 1994 (a semester before me). Then I went up to SUNY Binghamton and he walks into the first class I had - what a surprise and that was it for me. We started dating Feb. of 1995 (1 month after we met again) and got engaged Jan 1st 2004. My only consolation on why it took so long to get engaged is that we spent 6 years of it in school.

We were dating for 7 years before getting engaged, and have been living together for 2 years. By the time we get married it will be just over 9 1/2 years!!!!!

We got engaged on our 5 year anniversary November 8, 2002. We are getting married on November 5, 2004 which will be our 7 year weekend anniversary.

We knew each other for 2 1/2 years and didn't particularly like each other since I was dating his best friend, and then one thing led to another and we had been dating for 4 1/2 years...WOW long time

We dated for 4 1/2 years when we got engaged, our engagement was 18 months, we've now been married a year.

This Saturday is our 7 year anniversary!! Wow!!

We met January, 2003. Got engaged April 1, 2004 (1 year, 2mos and a few days daating). We are getting married on November 27 so just under 8 months engagement)

Dating about 7 years before we got engaged. and it will be about 8 1/2 years by the time we get married. omg that seems like a long time. geeze

After chatting online for over a year.

We met April 21, 2002 which we decided would be our anniversary.

We got engaged on my Birthday July 25, 2003.

So to answer your question, we dated for 15 months before we got engaged.

Together over 7 years when he proposed (began dating at 21 years old), engaged for about 15 months and getting married this weekend!
