how many...

yarmulkes should I order???
Non-Jewish brides please read this also bc I need options..

I am inviting 123 male guests of which 50 are not jewish.

Non jewish brides; if you were to attend a jewish wedding would you have your FH wear a yarmulke just bc its a jewish wedding??

This is why I am stumped...i dont think it is necessary for non jewish guests to wear yarmulkes but have heard that some do. I dont want to order too few and have guests not be able to wear one (esp if they are jewish) but I also dont want too many extras.

How many do you suggest ordering??

i may be wrong but i always thought men wore the yarmulke at a jewish ceremony out of respect regardless of their own religion

its a tough question if its only 50 non-jewish men i'd probably order the extra 50 just to be safe. if you have leftover after the wedding could you donate to your temple maybe?

this, exactly. it's different then taking communion, because if you take communion you are theoretically accepting the 'body and blood' (feel free to correct me if i am wrong, this was just my understanding) and is much more of an 'active' thing then just plopping something on your head. it's just a matter of respect for someone else's tradition, the same way you would stand and sit at a ceremony the same way others do.
