Mary, that is really sweet of you. I just applied for a higher paying job and could use a prayer that I get it. FH needs a better job too and a car. We are driving with one car. The gas saving car died in May and we can't afford to fix it. Good luck to everyone.
Praying right now, Suzanne!!!!!!! Mary MOB
Thank you

Mary you are so sweet and it is comforting to know there are people like you in this world. I am fortunate that I have a secure job but FH company has already laid off over 60 people! He thinks his job is safe but in his industry you never know. It has happened before I think planning a wedding during this time is exceptionally stressful and hard and all of us ladies on this site could use some prayers! Sure can't hurt!!!

Mary, you have to be the sweetest woman EVER.
Isn't she???
Mary, my fiance Matt and I are both doing ok job wise, but like someone else mentioned, with gas prices and food prices soaring, we are feeling it. And in Sept., our rent is going up $100. Thank god it is not any more than that. As it is, it's going to take away from our savings.

mary this is a great thread and unfortunately i think everyone is hurting due to this 'recession' that is much more like a DEPRESSION!
many for you!
the last day of june at the end of the day when the market closed, they said it was the 2nd worst end in history right behind the great depression.
It is so scary to think of. Not that it will get to that again but I think now so many are afraid with their jobs, or work is going so slow. It's also hard to find a job if you are looking. I have been looking and its just horrible. I know others who have been looking for a long time and nothing. We also have friends in the mortgage business and its real slow, i have some tell us that they haven't closed on anything in a long time, some go a month or longer with nothing. They definitely should've enforced new rules but they went to the extreme and are making it too hard. Of course don't do 100% financing anymore and giving mortgage to people who can't afford it but now people who can afford it are having a hard time getting a mortgage, this is not helping the situation.
everything is getting so expensive, gas, even raising the prices for food. It's sad because if it doesn't effect you directly, it still effects so many people around you.
George bush had a press conference this past week and was talking about congress accepting a plan to tap into our own resources for oil, lets see if this will actually happen
The only thing helping the US with its weak dollar is tourists, you have all the europeans coming here and many just come to shop. So at least they're all coming here which helps since at least they spend money
