Re: How many BM's?
i had 6, i was just in a wedding that had 11
i dont think 8 is to many, as long as these girls are all important to you, i dont see a problem with 8 at all

Re: How many BM's?
I have 11... but 5 of them are children! LOL... so that would mean I only have 6 adults... I think that's fine for me! :)

Re: How many BM's?
Well, 'proper etiquette' is that you are supposed to have 1 bridesmaid and ! groomsman for every 50 guests. So, if you had 400 people at your wedding that would be 'acceptable'. However, I am having 5 bridesmaids and am only inviting 150, probably 130 will RSVP, 'yes'. So I agree with the above comment...if all 8 women are truly important to you, go for it. I was debating whether to have a 6th girl (my FH has 6), so my cousin put it nicely. She said, 'Think about your wedding day. Think about how emotional you will be. Who do you picture there to comfort you? Who will cheer you up and encourage you if something goes wrong? If you can picture 'her' there for you when things get rocky that day, you have your answer.'

Re: How many BM's?
I have 3. I don't think 8 is too many, unless you think it would be easier to have less. But if the 8 you have in mind are very important to you, you should give it a thought.

Re: How many BM's?
I've been wondering this same question. If I ask everyone that I really should ask, I'll have 8 BMs, 2 FGs, a MOH and a Matron of Honor. It's a lot of people but at the end of the day, I think it should really be about what works for the particular bride. Probably better to be over-inclusive than under-inclusive and risk drama and hurt feelings. Good luck!

Re: How many BM's?
I had 4 BMs...but my uncle had a destination wedding in Jamaica and had 10BMs...if they can deal with that many in a different country then i'm sure you can do it here!

Re: How many BM's?
I was a bridesmaid in a wedding this weekend with 4 bridesmaids, 4 junior bridesmaids and 4 flower girls. And honestly, the altar looked VERY croweded. The 4 flower girls did not stand up there the whole time, but it looked odd.

Re: How many BM's?
I had 4 bms and 5 GMs.....truthfully I dont think I could have dealt with anymore girls~they made me nuts.
But if you want that many and they are all close to you then go for it! Ive seen some CRAZY BPs before, 8 is nothing
