How many BM's?

7 bridesmaids
2 jr bridesmaids
1 flowergirl

We have
6 BM (including MOH & FG)
6 GM (invluding BM & RB)

I had 8 bm's and 1 jr bm...for me it worked out perfectly fine. I know on here i always saw girls going nuts having to deal with alot of girls but i had absolutely no problems at all. Picking out a dress was so easy, we went to rk bridal, i got there before them and picked out about 15 dresses for them to try. They picked the dress they liked in about half an hour. Throughout the planning not once was there a conflict or them fighting. Even the day of it wasnt hectic dealing with them, they were all great, no problems during shower or bachelorette party either. I had 5 friends, 2 cousins and dh's cousin. So it all depends on who you pick, i see girls on here who have trouble with their girls and it will only be 4or 5 of them, ive seen even with less.

Dh had 11 gm and he didnt have one problem with them either

Just go with whomever you want, dont go by what you think you HAVE to do. THis about those who are closest to you so nobody can tell you who to pick or how many. If these are people whom you are close to and would love to have by your side the day of then go for it.
