For those of you who are getting close to your wedding or are already married, how many people did you invite and how many people ended up coming to the wedding? Thanks :)

Check the 09 boards I believe this is there.
They say abt 20% dont show...the more oot guest the more 'no's' usually

wow! helpful thread. notebooked this as well. i have to guarantee 100 and might beef up the guest list just a little bit to play it safe! (i was very conservative with the guest list initially)

My FSIL invited 175 and 125 showed up...a little less than 20% ...I believe it's more like 14-15%.

i'm nervous about following the 20% rule-don' t konw if it will work in all cases. I feel like there are some 'maybe's' on our list but more than likely they'll show up. The hall i want only has a 100 person minimum and we're inviting 125 max so i'm thinking all of the 125 will come! (but i wish i could get 20% no's)

im guessing there is a rule of thumb of how many people will say no..however there are definitely exceptions to this! i have a friend who invited 200 and only 5 or 6 declined. Don't invite people 'hoping' they say no...make sure you can pay for them all if they end up coming! :)
