How many hair & makeup trials?

I have no idea how I want my hair/makeup or who I should book. How many trials did you ladies have for your hair and makeup before you booked? Did you know how you wanted to look before your trial or did you just let the makeup artist and hair stylist do their thing?

I've seen 35 venues, 20 or so photographers, and at least 15 bands. And tried on over 50 dresses. Sooo...I tend to over do it a little.

I had a lot for makeup... I'm so picky and crazy about makeup though. hair I had like 4. it's good to see all different looks.

I picked out the first dress I wore. And i booked my hair and makeup with my first trial. :))))) I just know what I want I guess...

I haven't even had a trial, but I knew who I was booking before I was engaged. The girl I am using, I texted her the day we got engaged! I will go for a couple trials once I get the dress (because she is very affordable) but I would trust her even if I didn't have one.

My hair stylist I booked without a trial because I knew who I wanted and I want my hair down which is simple enough. I had three makeup trials. The first two I hated!! The third was recommeneded by my hair person.

2 hair trials - i had an idea of what I wanted going into it

4 makeup trials - i just wasn't pleased with any of them until I went to the last one (which is who I wound up booking)
