how many jobs

how many jobs do you have and did anyone have to get a second or third job that you hate to pay for the wedding and basic bills on LI?

while FH was interning making $200/wk at his now FT job, I was working 2 jobs, one FT the other PT and going to school FT. That lasted about 2 years and I thought I was going to die!!!!

i have two jobs as well. i teach part time, but i keep getting more hours. i have three, three hour classes that i have to prepare for, so that is a full time job in itself. each class runs two times a week.

i work at a restaurant on the weekends and any other nite i am needed. my boss is an idiot and i never know my schedule ahead of time. i would say on avrage ii work 20-30 hours a week at the restaurant.

At one point I was working 4 jobs... FT in an office and weekends waitressing in a bar from 10PM to 4AM, then Sat. nights at an ice cream store before the bar, and I was also selling Tupperware during the weeknights.

Phew! Glad that's over, now I'm a stay at home mom and I do Mystery Shopping. I might have to get a real job soon, though, lol.

I have a FT and a PT, it's been that way on and off through the years around here.
Living here is over the top - I'm one of the ones who's seriously thinking abou relocating.

Yes, I work F/T as an attorney and I had to re-start doing contract work as an occupational therapist on the weekends b/c between my mortgage, my student loans (which is actually almost equivalent to my morgage. Thank you law school!!!), my other bills, the 6 weddings I have this year and my own wedding, I had to start the OT again. It totally stinks.

FH has one job but takes any overtime he can get. I work two jobs, my full time 9-5 and my weekend job. I basically work 7 days a week. But the job I LOVE is my part-time job.

FH works 1 job (his job is very hard so he would not even have the time or energy for another job) and I work 2 jobs.

I have 3 jobs and DH has 2...that's what it takes on this island nowadays if you want to buy a house.

But I remeber in College I felt tlike I had to jobs, worked a full time job and went to school full time, so I know how stressful it can be.

Its also hard to see each other when you are working so much.

Sometimes I feel like I might have to get another job. LI can make or break you. I've learned to accept that we'll have to wait longer to have what we want due to the cost of living here...it's crazy b/c I was living it up on my own (compared to here) with a tiny paycheck in NC and now with 2 paychecks much larger than anything I ever saw there, we scrape by some months!!
