I hope to be there as soon as it starts. My church is at 2:30, and cocktail is at 7pm, so I have plenty of time to take pics in between.

We are getting married at our reception site, so we are planning to do our photos ahead of time at another location, then a few brief photo's right after the ceremony to 'capture the glow' as my photographer put it . I plan to attend AT LEAST half my cocktail hour.

refuuuuuse to miss it...

i will not let pictures stand in the way even though the reception is scheduled right after the ceremony at a different location.

That's one of the few things FH is insisting. He doesn't want to miss the carving station!

My friends tried to do that but the bride was being bustled the whole time & missed it, but the groom mingled.

I just want to stop in the bridal suite for afew mintes toast witht he BP & then bustle & go. Hopefully we can make most of it.
We have about 3 hours between the church & CH.

I definitely want to at least attend part of my cocktail hour. People have told me that it is the only time for you and your bridal party to catch your breathe in the bridal suite. But I can't imagine spending so much time & money setting up the entire reception and then not even seeing your cocktail hour!!! We are leaving plenty of time between the church and the cocktail hour for pics so that we can join it at some point.

I tried to attend as much of my cocktail hour as I could...the rest of the time we spent doing pictures.

FH is trying to convince me to attend...but my banquet manager told me that he'll set up portions of the cocktail in my bridal suite...so i figured myself and my girls will stay in the bridal suite, and FH and the groomsmen can attend cocktail hr....is anyone doing it like that?

that is what me and FH are doing, that way we at least get the food
My girls were adamant about atteding the cocktail hour.

we will not attend...our pics will be before the ceremony at the place and I would rather just have our food in the bridal suite...then make an entrance at the reception

i am definitely going to attend part of my ch if not the whole thing. we have enough time in between for pictures and i would love to greet everyone there that way for the rest of the reception we can enjoy it as well.

Since the ceremony and reception are in the same place, we do plan on attending the cocktail hour...but may be late due to some pictures. Carlyle is willing to work with me on the cocktail hour and may even extend it a little if the guests are enjoying themselves. They better, there will be enough food to feed a third world nation for a month.
