My FH and I do notttt live together, my mother would not have it
Although my DAD (you would think it would be the other way around!) doesn't care, his parents are both like 'Just move out together already' haha.
I WISH!!!!
Opinion:
I would love to live with him even though 'its not the right thing to do before you are married' that way we can find out our peeves lol and work on them! I had a friend who was engaged, lived with the boy and he dumped her because she LOADED THE DISHWASHER WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaare you kidding me!?
I think living together first is a good idea that way you know what bothers you and what doesnt and all that fun stuff :)

Re: How many of you..
FH and I have been living together for almost 2 years (my birthday will be 2 years )
It was a big adjustment at first, but now I love it. If FH and I spend a night apart, we both can't get a good night sleep. I'm just so used to his snoring and kneeing me in the back

Re: How many of you..
my FH and I live together. i think it will really help our relationship in the long run bc you learn everyyyyyy little thing about each other when you live together and i think it helps to know whether or not this person really is the one for you. but then again, if i didnt think he was'the one' i wouldve never moved in with him. i have never lived with anyone else - it was such an easy decision though.
i must add for girls that dont live with their FH yet im sure things will work out fine. this is just what worked better for us

Re: How many of you..
We have lived together for about 5 years now. We moved in after a year of being serious. I NEVER would have moved in with anyone before him so it was a huge adjustment. I went away to college so I knew i REALLY was not a big fan of living with anyone else. I was dating someone else at the time and we broke up right when i came home from college. I knew i did not really want to move back home but i really had no choice. I swore to never get into another relationship for the next few yrs following.. but i met my FH a month after being home.. I guess we both were meant to meet each other. We hit it off and started dating a few months later.
He lived out east but worked closer to where i lived so we would go to work come to my house, hang out till late and go back out east or sleep at his nani's house. After awhile the commute was getting to him so he said he was getting an apartment. A year into us dating he said he wanted to start looking and if i wanted to move in with him but it was up to me. In the beginning it was hard. He plays alot of sports and I'm a mama's girl so i always had someone around. I DEF HIGHLY RECOMMEND living with the person first.. but that is just my opinion. i think the first yr living together is the hardest!!

I think everyone is different. I know couples that won't live together until after their married and others like ourselves that live together. Personally, I love it and wouldn't have it any other way.

Re: How many of you..
We have lived togethr for a year and a half now..I can't believe it..
When we first got engaged now looking back, I think I would have been nervous. I have a fear of the unknown..but living together was the BEST thing we did! It has been great and I am so relaxed and comfortable knowing that we can not only get married but live together too!

Re: How many of you..
We don't live together. We both live at home still with our parents and brothers.
Its really a money thing and also I think my parents would kill me! My mom has expressed how she feels about that without me even bringing it up.
Being at home, helps us save for the wedding plus gives us plenty of time to find a place for after the wedding!
*I have nothing against those who live together first. It just isn't right for us.*

Re: How many of you..
we actually did live together for 1 1/2 years and i moved out!!!!
he was driving me nuts. but i also think there were other factors. we were going through a rough phase in our relationship (we actually broke up for 2months)
our apt was so effffin small. we both have very strong personalities. and there was no where for us to go to get away from each other. It was literally a bedroom, a bathroom, and kitchen/living combo (an UNdormered levit house, and his grandmother lived below us )
Im actually glad this happened though because we learned about each other and were able to work on our faults and fix things. even though we dont live together now i spend 4- 5 nights w him anway. my lease is up in june and we are going to buy a house (or dormer his house out now~ He owns w his brother)

Re: How many of you..
FH and I bought a house together before we were engaged, and have lived together for about 2 and a half years. my mom wasn't too happy, my dad didn't care lol
but the way we looked at it was - we would rather own than rent, and we wanted to live together before we got engaged and married to iron out the kinks. we haven't had too many kinks though. FH is VERY easygoing.... so i guess that helps. lol
ETA - we were also going out about 8 years when we bought the house, so its not like we just met and moved in. we knew we were going to get engaged etc...since a house is such a big commitment we wanted to make sure were were getting engaged and married, so we talked about all that before hand.

Re: How many of you..
We've been living together since college, we got our first apartment when I was 20. So we've been living together for 4 years and I wouldn't have it any other way. I love living together otherwise I think we would never see each other!
