My FH and I do notttt live together, my mother would not have it
Although my DAD (you would think it would be the other way around!) doesn't care, his parents are both like 'Just move out together already' haha.
I WISH!!!!
Opinion:
I would love to live with him even though 'its not the right thing to do before you are married' that way we can find out our peeves lol and work on them! I had a friend who was engaged, lived with the boy and he dumped her because she LOADED THE DISHWASHER WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaare you kidding me!?
I think living together first is a good idea that way you know what bothers you and what doesnt and all that fun stuff :)

Re: How many of you..
FH and I moved in together March 2009. I always said I wouldn't move in with anyone till we were at least engaged, but we wound up renting a huge house on the water with another couple, so I bent my rules a bit. lol. I was secretly giving him till the end of our lease to propose, or I would have moved back home. Luckily for him....lol... he proposed on Christmas...and we moved into an apartment, just the 2 of us, in PJ this March.
It's probably the best thing I could have done. Hey....you wouldn't buy a car without test driving it first..right?

Re: How many of you..
FH and I have lived together for 2 years. I totally thought I never would live with someone before I got married. I am so glad I did. FH and I had a seamless transition honestly but I have heard some horror stories. I am glad we did b/c of the special time we get to spend together. I also see the other side and think there is nothing wrong with waiting.

Re: How many of you..
2012 crashing here!!
FH and i live together and have for 2yrs now. We ahve been together since '07. We knew we wanted to get married someday when we moved in together. We wanted to make sure we could live together before taking that next big step. My parents did not like the idea at first but they got used to it and it wasn't like they could stop me. His parents were totally fine with the idea. I know its not the tradtional thing to do but with such a high divorce rate and the cost of throwing a wedding we wanted to be 100% sure we could live together.

Re: How many of you..
Honestly I have lived with my FH for years I really think that you don't know someone until u live with them. In the beginning its all fun but after the first month both parties start losing up & u can see certain personal characteristics about one another. In my situation it made us stronger than ever..Good luck...

I have lived with FH for years. It allows u to realize the person's pet peeves, style of life, how they are, temperament. It prepares you for what is in store after marriage. I would rather know before than after :)

Re: How many of you..
There are positives and negatives with both butttttt we dont for many reasons one being my parents would kill me and his parents are fans of that either but mine are super against it.
He already bought a house this past July and is living there all alone lol

We have been living together for 2 1/2 years. I used to sleep over his house pretty much the whole time we were dating before we moved in together also.

We live together for two years in our house. I wanted the house first and then the wedding. I know I have issues. We have learn a lot about each other in the begining I wanted to leave him the house and move back to my sister house.

I do not live with FH but we live a town away and the drive is about 2 mins (if that). But we do not even sleep over each others houses...lol
Me too! except he lives in the same town hahaha so it literally takes me longer to get in my car then it does to drive home. I think i've slept over his place like 3x! haha

Re: How many of you..
I live with FH we started living together a little over a month of 'officially' dating. It started out just sleeping over every night because I used his car to get to school I would drive from his apartment to my house to get ready then back towards his apartment because he lived just minuets from school then one night we went to my parents and took all my clothes and brought them to his place so i didn't have to drive home at 5 in the morning. we are now in our second apartment and moving again hopefully in November to our house in PA. I love living together but he still does things that make me

Re: How many of you..
My FH and I don't live together. The main reason is to save money for the wedding but I prefer to wait until we're married. FH has lived on his own and I stay over his place all the time. I know we both have little pet peeves about each other but I want to wait to move in because I think it will make marriage actually feel like a transition. I'm sure there will be challenges as everyone has mentioned but I don't see a difference in overcoming them before or after marriage. I'm looking forward to the change/adjstment. That's what marriage it all about!

Re: How many of you..
We lived together for the past year and a half......OMG Im so happy we did.......... We pretty much fought every day for the first 8 months. EVERYTHING was a fight...people didnt want to hang out with us because we fought so much.... we finally got our communication skills down and we havent had a single fight in like a good 6 months. im glad we moved in before we got married cause if we didnt maybe id be one of those divorced people lol

Re: How many of you..
My situation is a little different than most. I am from alaska so I was living in an apartment when I met FH. He owns a house and it made more sense for me to move in. I held out for three years before I officially moved in but we already practically lived together I just paid rent somewhere else. Anyhow, we love living together and although I am a mess and he hates it, we work through the difficulties... I haven't lived home with my parents since 1998, so when I see people my age living at home until the wedding date it's strange for me to fathom. Now, I think it's super sweet and I find it very romantic that way. I just don't think I could deal with my parents as an adult.

Re: How many of you..
We don't technically live together. However, we spend days 5 out 7 days a week together in my apartment. We both rent from our families but although he pays rent I could never stay over at his place so he always stays at mine. It's complex but it works for now. Over the summer when I was unemployed he was here the whole which was a big adjustment with space and things. I think that we finally move to our place together it won't be as much of shock. We've discussed things that annoy us and it mostly revolves around household chores and personal space issues. We really learn to work together more as a couple.

We live together. I love it b/c you get to see what each others like at home. Trust me, there are a few things that FH does that I can't stand and im sure there are a few things I do that he cant stand but we love each other so much that we look past those little things. I think its good to live together first.

Re: How many of you..
We live together for about three months and there were def. things we needed to work on. I will be excited when we get married and we could feel like newliweds and not argue about who is going to do the laundry...
