How many of you are using your hall's recommended vendors?
I haven't used any of their recommended vendors yet. It seems like they actually charge more.
Is it actually better to used them?

We are using a few vendors that were recommended by the hall.
ADA Studios----Photography Get In Tune----DJ Cantor Cohen---Officiant
I think that's it. We got not benefits from the hall for using recommended vendors. The vendor meals are 1/2 off regardless if they are house vendors or not.
These were also coincidences, because I got all of my feedback on vendors from these boards.
The only benefit of using our house vendors is that they already have their insurance information on file at the hall.l

My hall recommended me the florist and baker, they were included in my package if I used them. They also recommended there DJ but we arent using them.

I'm using only one, but not because they are a house vendor. I didn't even realize it when we went to see them. I met with some of their vendors and didn't really like them... too expensive for one thing!

We are just using 1, my florist. And that is only because he had a good price. All of the other vendors on the list were WAY out of my price range. I didn't know this until a while ago, but the vendors have to pay to be on the list. That's probably why they are so much more expensive.

Yes and No. I booked Bellarino but the Manor East did not tell us about them. They told me that they are the house videographer of the Manor East.

I haven't used any yet. The reccommened band was booked & I had alreday contacted photographers before i asked for reccomendations.
oh, actaully they hotel I blocked rooms for guest at was one of about 10 on their list.
I will probbably use their florist, b/c it is the Milleridge's own.
I might call back about limos, or just take a suggestion from here.

the only vendor i am using from the hall is the band - and that is only cause they are awesome - honestly didnt like any of the house vendors

we haven't used any of the recommended vendors, mostly because they were WAAAY more $$ than the ones I found on my own.. most of them have annoyed the cr&* out of us with WAAAY too many phone calls on top of it!!
99% of the vendors I've used came from my own research, and a lot of good advice and valued recommendations from the ladies and men on LIWs

I only used the vondor that made my baggies to take home the vienesse and the fingertip towels in the bathroom. I used all my own vedors otherwise I did meet with some of them though & just liked what my vedors offered, and some vendors I always knew I would use, like my photographer, band & DJ.

If I use any of the vendors from my hall, it might be the limo....but I haven't gone to see any yet, but they're on my list of limo ppl to see. Other than that- no

We had to use one of 5 house florists, but that is the only one.

I used their florist b/c it was mandatory. I found all the others on my own and did not go with their recommendations.

I am using one, the photographers, Glenmar Studios, our BM said her sister recently used them for her wedding, so I took that as a great recommendation, and when we went to see them, I really like their work, and the price was right
