My fh and I are at odds over the big question...where are you going to live?
When we get married, my fh and I will both be in our 30's. I want to find a cheap fixer upper house. I figure rent is a waste. We can be using that money to start to pay off a house. Hopefully we will have children down the road. My family and friends all tell me to try to find a starter home. My fh wants to stay in an apartment. His family agreess with him. They think we dont need a house without kids. And they feel no one moves right into a house.
So I was wondering ...where everyone is going to live?

FH and i both want to get a house. it doesn't make sense to us to rent and throw money away. dont worry about a huge downpayment...ive found out recently that there are different types of mortgages you can get. if anyone needs a mortgage guy to go thru this with you, the guy at my office is soo knowledgable! he has never had a person that did not get approved for a loan! if you want info, FM me. it's funny because FH and i both just got into real estate and we are looking for a home too...we've learned a lot!
