How many of you live with your FH?

We've moved out to San Diego in 2006 and been living together ever since (We are both from Long Island). All we had out here was each other (besides my brother and my niece). We were only dating for 6 months prior to moving out, so we were still in that 'honeymoon phase'. We made certain deals like he would cook and I would clean and do the laundry (since he was a better cooker than me at the time). And found some habits that needed to be squashed but all in all we made it work because we were in it for the long haul.

I agree with this! FH and I live together and it was definitely a huge adjustment but I wouldn't want it any other way :)

We have been living with each other going on 3 years and in the beginning it's a lot of compromise. I'm an only child and space was very important to me. To help with the adjustment of living with FH we got a 2 bedroom and outdoor space was a must. He does the laundry and garbage and I cook and clean.

Been living together 4.5 years. Bought a house 1.5 years ago. We do things a bit backwards lol.

We officially moved in together about a year ago. Before he would stay with me all the time because I was closer to his job. I did everything in the other apt because I felt like he was my guest. Our new apt I cook, he used to be the cleaner but has become lazy. But I did stop doing his laundry. Too much to carry! I'm still adjusting and it's been a year.

We've been living together in a house we bought together since April. Before that he was in a house he lived in with his grandmother and I shared an apartment with a friend for 9 years. We were so sick of driving back and forth between Staten Island and Long Island, it has been a dream come true living together!

We moved in together this past June and its been wonderful! We were lucky enough to only live a mile away from each other when we both lived at our parent's house and stayed at each other's houses all the time, so this just made sense. We are both so happy and love having our own space.

A year after dating we moved in an apartment together .... July of last year we bought a house together and now we're getting married woot woot ! We decided to buy the house while the rates were low and so happy we did!

And living with him is bliss

I agree! We moved in together before we even got engaged. Some of my co-workers thought it was a bad idea to live with someone without having a ring on my finger, but I didn’t see anything wrong with testing the water before we dove in. And now I have a ring so there! ;)

I think everyone should do what works for them and what they think is the best for their future.

Not yet since I work in Central Islip I chose to stay with my parents until right before the wedding...then we'll move into his house in Westhampton...it's SUCH a far drive from where I work but I spend more than half the week there anyway =)

We have lived together a little over a year and it was surprisingly a smooth adjustment period before that he stay at my house most weekends. Our parent objected to us moving in together since we hadn't been together that long ( a little over a year at the time) but we knew it was best for us! I am so glad we did because it confirmed for us that we could manage a household and live together without any major fighting. Plus now I got the ring it makes it that much better. :)

We've been living together in a tiny basement apartment for a year next month! I'm very lucky that my fiance is super helpful with cleaning, I have a very long commute from Selden to Hicksville for work so I'm usually exhausted when I get home. Moving in together was a great decision though, I got to learn about the habits that drive me nuts before getting married and learn if they were things I could live with forever, and the same goes for him. =)

I have been living with my fiance for a little over a year. We did long distance for 6.5 years before that so it was a big deal when he moved to Nebraska to be with me (We are both from LI). We agreed that we would live together a year before getting engaged tho he asked a week before the year mark. :P His career has him gone a lot but when he is home, he is the one that mainly cleans while I do the laundry and we alternate cooking.
