Girls, I'm stressing. Our invite list is 242. The max the hall holds is 220 although it would be more comforatable if its less than 190. They say 18-20% don't show but it's still making me nervous.

The funny thing is FH and I thought we were going to have like 150 until our Moms got a hold of the guest list. Who are all these people?

I HATE that! It's like the day of your wedding you walk in and your FMIL or your Mom is saying 'This is so and so' and then you have to try to remember all of these people! So aggrivating!

Forget how many people my HALL holds - my budget only holds 125 people! (my guarantee). We've got 168 on the list and I'm hoping not to go 25 over our minimum.

Im in trouble, we may come under our guarantee its 175 but right now I have 84 invites going out so double that is 168 people- I still have Id say about another 25-30 to invite and Im freaking out b/c I just found out that at least 33 people on FH side according to his aunt are very old and wont show up- I would have def given a lower number when signing for a min- Im pissed

We are inviting about 240 and have to guarantee 200. We don't really have OOT guests though.

We guaranteed 100, are inviting 115 - we'll probably be under - but that's OK with me.

We made a LOT of cuts...basically, if we weren't going to see you at Christmas, Birthdays or family gatherings you weren't invited. All disctant cousins, aunts, etc. got cut. And we had a max of 6 people per household (fi has a large family) so people will have to choose who wants to come. It's the only way to tackle the guest list - that thing's a monster! Good luck!

We have to guarantee 175. We have about 200 who live here and 42 who are OOT. So we will see what will happen. At my hall they told me that if I come out short they will include my vendors as guest. Try talking to your banquet manager to see if that is possible.

We have over 300 on the list and are tying to get it down to 250. It would be really great if we only had 200.

Our guarantee is 180, our halls holds a LOT. We're inviting about 220 or so.

be CAREFUL with Riviera. It's great with smaller weddings, but once you get close to 200 it really gets crowded and people end up in corners and taking up 1/2 the dance floor. Also, if it's cold or bad weather you'll have to have the CH indoors and that is a TIGHT space. I'd really be careful with how big you let your guest list get.

Try to make your guest list and then figure out how many people you think will come.

you can type in your guest list, check off a lost of b list and if you expect them to come and it tallies it for you. You cna never predict who actually will come, but this may help you get a better idea

I'm close to 240 also, and FH keeps yelling at me to cut the list since we are paying for our wedding ourselves. It seems everytime I look at it, it grows a bit more. We have to guarantee 150.
