How many people...

What is the percentage that most of you brides have gotten on your RSVP for the wedding??

Also, how many guests also failed to show up on the actual day of the wedding?

I'd like to know this too. From what I am told about you can expect that 20% will be 'no's'

Maybe try posting on 07 board

Re: How many people...

we invited about 265...and ended up at our EXACT minimum which was 222 of our guests and 3 vendors to fill spots(225)....i'm terrible with math so whatever % that is lol... Through planning everyone tried to tell me 'expect no's expect no's' and i just couldn't forsee it lol but we DID have no's of course....and thank god we did otherwise we wouldn't have fit everyone in the room! keep in mind that most of the time 1reply of no counts for 2people since most are couples....so just 5no replys already adds up to 10! another thing, if u send out save the dates, ur probably more likely to have people say yes....we purposely did not send out std's because we needed people to say no! lol. we also had 2 people call last minute and say they weren't coming & 2 no shows the day of.....ANNOYING!!! that could've been someone elses seat since it was already PAID FOR!!!!! hope this helps???

Re: How many people...

We invited 225, 160 rsvp'd yes (that's around 28% no!!), and on the day of we had 3 no shows.

If you're inviting a lot of oot/country guests, that also plays a huge part.

We invited 120 and had about 95. No no-shows, I've got classy guests.

Re: How many people...

i heard 20% of the original invites say no
and then my mom always says even if you get like 200 yes''s to count like 10-12 ppl that wont show up even though they rsvpd yes just bc of family emergencies and such things
i dont know
ill let you know after 4/19

Re: How many people...

I have a lot of 'family' i have never met - so 100% of our friends and FH family is coming, but only a small % of my side.

We invited 140 and have 121, so about a 13% no rate.

Re: How many people...

i have the same problem~ we are inviting about 330 but I am hoping we have 270.....max ( i would love to have 260) we do have a lot of oot and out of country guests, so I hope we have a large amount of no's
I did just hear from my mom that one guests visa already got denied....so I got really excited about that!!!!

Re: How many people...

we invited 220, had 150 rsvp (quite a few OOTer's), and we had a few no shows on the day of- I think our final # was 146.

Re: How many people...

I have to agree. A full 20% said 'NO'. It rained & a bunch of people who were COUNTING DOWN to the day didn't make it. A few because of true emergencies...but some others....

Point being: people will RSVP yes and be a no show.

Re: How many people...

We had 2 couples that were no shows just at our eparty. One was a family emergency so we knew about them, but the other just didn't show and it really ticked me off. I'm considering not inviting them to the wedding!

Re: How many people...

We invited 149 and 37 said no (or never even responded) for a total of 112.

On the day of, 3 people did not show up (one couple had an emergency and one person's guest got sick) and one person with a guest just showed up after I never heard back from her on if she was attending or not even after calling and leaving messages. Her and her family ended up getting pissed at me when they didn't see a placecard for her. We're supposed to assume people will come and just pay for them? This turned into a whole fiasco where that family (my step dad's own brother, wife, and kids) are not even talking with my family now. Weddings truly bring out everyone's true colors.
