How many people did you bring with you to look for wedding dresses?

The lady at the shop I plan on going to said I should bring my as few girls as possible, or else it gets confusing because they tend to pick the styles they like instaed of what truely looks good on you. She said I should just bring my mom (but she is in Heaven) ..so, I was thinking of bringing FMIL with me the first time, and then maybe the next time, bring my sisters and BM's. What did you ladies do?

i brought both of my parents....my moh was suppossed to go but something came up and she couldnt....i would say bring those that are the closest to u...maybe ur moh?? or a bridesmaid that very close to u??

Well, my MOH has very diff taste than me..I know from when we went for her dress....plus I am afraid if I bring any of the BM's the others will be hurt if they don't go also. I am also close to my MIL though

bring someone you can enjoy dress shopping with I brought my mom and fmil not very helpful there taste is a little old lol

bring ur FMIL & MOH! if u are close to fmil you will have a great experience, she will be honored to do this with you. im very sorry about your mother, but she IS with you EVERY SINGLE MOMENT

I know what you are feeling. My mom is in the same place
At first I thought that bringing 2 other people would help or maybe my FMIL, but having those people there just made my mom's absence more obvious. My advice is one other CLOSE friend; some one who loves you very much.

In fact, I found my AMAZING dress when I went shopping alone. I felt like my mother was with me the whole time.

hmmmm soooo i would say ur sisters....mil....and if necessary ask a bm and tell her to keep the piehole shut to the rest of the bm's

I brought my Mom, my FMIL, my sister who is also my MOH and my 3 month old nephew...the only man allowed to see me in my dress before the wedding!!!

I brought my DH! I know it's not traditional to bring your FH shopping for your wedding gown, but he knows me and what looks good on me and he knew exactly what I was looking for. Plus, besides myself, he's the person who I cared most about liking the dress!

I brought my mom and 5 sisters.

I brought my mom, my godmother and my FMIL.

I tried 2, a group of 6, but in the end I found my dress with just my mom!

I actually went by myself because I never thought I would order a dress on the first day! When I thought I wanted to buy one I had three of the girls come see.

I brought my 2 MOH and My mom. I felt that my mom has a good eye on what looks good on me, and My Best Friend and MOH HelenZ has great tastes! My sister, Who is my other MOH gave good input too. I agree with the bridal shop lady, only bring one or 2 people. it will make your life soooooo much eaiser!

First let me just give you
I know its hard but you're mom will be with you.My friend just got married on Saturday and her mom passed away when she was little. Just writing this gives me goosebumps... as her MOH was zipping up her wedding dress her mothers favorite song came on the radio. Your mom will be watching over you too.
If I were in your situation and was close to my FMIL than I would go with her. If I had a close sibling, or my best friend ( not DH, unless you don't mind him seeing) I would ask them to come. I would take someone who I think would really help and give an honest opinion. Good Luck.Take pics, keep us posted.

I went by myself first time around....picked my dress....and then bought my mom for a second opinion.

The fewer the people, the better.

I went with my FMILevery time and FHs aunt once. I think you should bring whoever you want to bring, you will be able to get more opinions that way. Good Luck
