How many people KNEW about their shower

I have a great MOH and great bridesmaids (all close friends and cousins) and I am sure they are thinking of my shower around now. My question is- How many people were supposed to have a surprise shower but TOTALLY knew about it anyways? My problem is that I am NEVER surprised and somehow I ALWAYS find out what is going on. I am afraid to dissapoint my girls and mom if I don't act totally surprised. I don't know anything yet but people are starting to talk and I'm picking up on things (I am very good at that).

I was the same way and I completely knew when my shower was as it got closer.

I don't know anything..and I'm so happy I don't. But just last week I heard a story that made me cringe. A friend of ours had his fiance dragging him to clothing stores to shop for a new outfit for the shower she found out was the next day. Couldn't she just be a little surprised about it? I think if you know about it, you should say nothing, for sake of the people who went to all the trouble planning it! Just rude!

I am having the same problem. I want a surprise, but I am one of those people that is impossible to surprise. I just keep picking up on little cues. Some examples: I found a scrap of paper with a bunch of restaurants listed on it, one of bridesmaids told me about a converation she had with my MOH (meanwhile, they don't even know each other), my mom told me that my MOH wants my FH to call her, my FMIL is having my mom over for dinner next week, and the list goes on and on. I know that I am difficult to surprise, but this is getting rediculous! I have to start practicing my surprised face!

Helene- Same here. I will act surprised and totally not say anything (because I think it is very rude). Maybe I will be surprised (I hope!!!!) but I doubt it. I would LOVE for it to be a surprise but it never happens. Too many clues, hahahaha.

Get this, my sister had one of those Magnetic Calendars on the fridge. Really big she had written under notes 'Party July 28' for everyone to see. I saw that and I told my husband (at the time FH) that I knew when my shower was July 28. So my husband calls my sister and tells her that I knew. She had to change the date and everything, but I still was not surprised.

My clues are not as obvious as Latina's, LOL!!!!!! but they are subtle. They are doing a great job trying to surprise me but it won't happen, LOL!!!!!!!

I had alot of other small clue also that I just stood quiet about. My MOH knew that I knew because the week before my shower we went out. I had to take her home and to do that I had to pass by my sisters house because she lives down the block. I pass by the front of my sisters house was full of cars, including my SIL's, my other siste. All my MOH kept telling me was 'please do not go to your sisters house'. I told her that they really needed to learn how to throw a surprise party.

My SIL called my mom complaining that her family wasn't invited.(I am never included in any of their stuff.We are not close.)
Obviously I knew my shower invitations went out because how would my SIL know who was or wasn't invited.She caused the family a lot of grief with her temper tantrum.
Edited to say:I told my mom to just invite them anyway to keep the family peace and they didn't come anyway.

I knew about mine but I still tell everyone I was completley surprised - the BM's and my mother all worked so hard!

I am exactly the same , my mother blew it for me it is actually next weekend the 29th, I've only known three people to ever be surprised. I hope you don't find out, good luck.

Even if you are not totally surprised there will be things that surprise you (that is what FI's cousin told me at hers)- like you get to see your invitation, how nuce it is all decorated and people who came a long way to be there- she said that was her surprise.

My shower was a surprise but I found out about by mistake. I saw a receipt for the Milleridge Carriage House and I figured it all out from there. My mom thought she was slick by having my FSIL send me an invitation to a surprise birthday party on 2/8 but I had my shower on 2/1.
