How many people were at your Fox Hollow reception?
Hi All,
I booked my wedding at the Fox Hollow for November 2008. I've been reading reviews, and it seems like I made a good choice. I'm a little nervous about the number of people the Winter Garden room can hold comfortable. We were told it does 150-160, but has anyone actually done the 12-top tables with 150-160 guests?
Was the dance floor too small? Were the tables smooshed together?
I'm freaking out a little bit, and hoping I didn't pick too small a venue.

I had 150 and 15 tables, we did 10 at some 12 at others depending on the people. You can do the 12 its tight but its dealable. I wouldnt worry too much, you will only wind up with a table or 2 that has 11 or 12 people at it. Besides, if you are really not ok with that many people you can always add a table right?

Maybe not. If we push the guest list to capacity, which is 166 people, we would have 14 12-top tables, with one table only having 10 people.
Was there enough room to dance comfortably?

There is a fox hollow thread you can post in too! Congrats on picking fox hollow. I'm getting married in October there in the same room as you. I was told a max of 156 or so, but me and FH want to keep it more to 135 or so. Good Luck! Don't you just LOVE that room???

I had 112 in the Winter Garden Pavilion - 12 tables incl sweetheart table.
It was the perfect size! I can't imagine squeezing 160 people in there.

When we went to look at the Fox Hollow, they told us that the WGP, AT MAX could hold 100 comfortably, anything more than that would be uncomfortable. We are having a minimum of 130-160 and we are using the briar fox room. I couldnt imagine fitting 160 in the WGP

we were told it could handle 150 comfortably, I am anticipating 100-120, I went to a wedding with around 140 and it was fine, still had room to dance

My husband and I looked at FH last year and we were told basically the same thing - about 115 MAX for the WGP. One of my friends went to a wedding at FH a few months ago, and they had 125 people in the WGP, and supposedly it was a nightmare - everyone was squished, and there was no room to dance because tables were spilling out onto the dance floor.
ETA - Is there anyway you could switch to the Briar Fox room for your reception? If we had booked at FH, they told us with 150 people we would have our CH in the WGP, and the reception in the BF room....maybe talk to your banquet manager and see what they can do? Good luck with everything!

The thing about the WGP is that it's not set up like a regular room. One side is for dancing the other for eating. It's going to be very tight for people to go up and down to get on the dance floor. Especially if you want you sweetheart table right infront of the waterfall, you'll have to walk through 160 guests.

they told us the room can hold 155! And we are intending for that much!
