How many pew bows should I get? opinions please

I am getting married at St. Barnabas RC Church in Bellmore.
The asile is about 100 ft.
I want the bows just for decoration, not to set aside for family. How many should I get? Is 6 enough (3 on each side) or should it be more?
Thanks all!

Re: How many pew bows should I get? opinions please

I did three bows on each side, and they pretty much designated which rows immediate family members were to sit in. If you are thinking of doing it mroe for decoration, I would do more on each side. Maybe on every other pew? I guess it depends on how many people you expect to attend and how many pews they'll take up.

My family is small
We will be having about 100 people.
If I do only 3 on each side can I still skip a row between them?

I think that pew bows on every other pew would look great! That is probably what I will do, If I do pew bows at all

Hi Debbus!

I am very familiar with St. Barnabus (I go to Cure of Ars). I think using pewbows, three on each side, every other row would look beautiful. That is also what I will be doing.

I am doing the first 4 rows on both sides, then every other row for 8. A total of 16 bows.

Re: How many pew bows should I get? opinions please

It probably depends on how big the church is... I'm doing 10 (5 bows each side). I'm getting married at Our Holy Redeemer, which is a huge old church.

I was planning on doing 5 on each side and skipping rows in between. I'm getting married at St William the Abbot in Seaford and they have a long aisle.

Re: I'd recommend skipping the bows...

I had 8 or 10, skipping every other pew and quite honestly, I didn't even see them while walking up or down the aisle!!!

I actually had to ask one of the BM's later if their had been bows, and I had meant to ask someone to collect them, so I could sell them on E-bay and I totally forgot.

They also did not really add much, if anything, to my photos.

Unless you are doing something really fancy, or the church is really plain and you want to dress it up, the pew bows are one thing that I would recommend to any bride that they skip them and save some money here - use it for a good dinner on your honeymoon instead!
